Ack! I've recently had to reinstall my hard-drive and thus all my games. However, when I went to reinstall PTW this message came up around 66%. What to do!

Check and make sure that the cd is clean and scratch free and try again. If that fails make sure that it isn't warped and try cleaning it.

There is a scratch. Could this be the problem? And if so... Anything which can help remove scratches?

The scratch IS the problem. Cd cleaners can be found almost anywhere. Try a walmart or something. I've used windex with a soft cloth (nothing like paper towel) and that often fixes it.

But if the scratch is to big/deep you may be out of luck. I dont know if atari has a broken-cd exchange or whatever but if they dont you'll have to buy it again.

Ouch. I have a PTW PBEM in progress but I have recently purchased Conquests. Would I be able to continue the PBEM through Conquests or am I totally and utterly buggered?

As long as you can't see light trough the foil on the CD it can be repaired, you can either buy a in home repair kit, or alot of cd places have repair stuff they will do for you.
