View Full Version : Why dont the new conquest scenario natural resources show up in the editor??? iceboy Nov 23, 2003, 12:42 PM And since they dont how do you add them??? (such as exotic birds) warpstorm Nov 23, 2003, 01:11 PM They will if they are in the scenario. iceboy Nov 23, 2003, 01:49 PM yes but how do you include them in the basic civ editor for your own scenarios ??? spincrus Nov 23, 2003, 01:57 PM Go to the conquest folders (they are in ...\Conquests\Conquests), look for the resources.pcx and resources_shadows.pcx in the Art folder. Open these files using either Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. Then, open the resources.pcx and resources_shadows.pcx in the ...\Conquests\Art folder (NOT the folder for the conquests themselves, but the expansion pack itself). Using the graphics editors, copy/paste the resource graphics from one file onto the other. Save. Make sure you get the shadows and the resources on the same order. You're done. Furthermore, I recommend you to open up EVERY graphic file within the directory to really get a grip on modding. iceboy Nov 23, 2003, 07:12 PM Originally posted by SpincruS Go to the conquest folders (they are in ...\Conquests\Conquests), look for the resources.pcx and resources_shadows.pcx in the Art folder. No problem. The pedia icons for the resources are all in the main folder, so you don't need to do anything for those. Just make sure you reference them in the "PediaIcons.txt" file. Pull the Civilopedia entries out of the Civilopedia.txt file of the scenarios and add it to your own. Set up a scenario folder just like the main folder, like: "Iceboy's Mod" With the following folders: \Text\PediaIcons.txt \Text\Civilopedia.txt You also need to make folders for the resources: \Art\resources.pcx \Art\resources_shadows.pcx Use the main Conquest folders for the template so you can see how it is structured. |
