View Full Version : DyP: Bonus disc problem Mr. Dictator Nov 23, 2003, 01:57 PM ok i got the bonus disk today but ive never put a mod on my comp. :help: Mr. Dictator Nov 23, 2003, 02:33 PM ouch, no responce i change the name to gather more attention Mr. Dictator Nov 23, 2003, 02:51 PM can someone at least post a link to a tutorial, im desperate Kenta'arka Nov 23, 2003, 03:20 PM ok, I don't know whats on the bonus dics (I guess another advantage of the english version?) but to install a mod, you need to move the .biq (or .bic or .bix) file and the scenario folder to the .../civilizations3/conquests/scenarios folder I hope that helps, if not please explain your problem more in detail ;) Mr. Dictator Nov 23, 2003, 03:39 PM it starts up fine but the text is all screwed up ie it says random things from the game like allow cultural victory when its supposed to say random Kenta'arka Nov 23, 2003, 03:45 PM ah, I know that problem, had that once too. I think it was because of differences in labels.txt from classic to ptw. Try renaming the labels.txt in the scenario's folder to something else (for example temp_labels.txt) now everything should look like usual. But changed names for diffulty levels, victory conditions and so on won't shop up. But stats still better than the screwed up screen, right? Dom Pedro II Nov 23, 2003, 04:00 PM I can't believe they didn't fix that... embryodead Nov 23, 2003, 04:32 PM DP, it's not their "bussiness". It obvious that labels.txt must change when new version is released. It's modders' job to provide this file. As for DyP, it's for PTW, so it should be played with PTW. I really can't understand people complaining either at Firaxis or DyP Team about that problem. Just play the mod with PTW. AceDragon Nov 23, 2003, 11:32 PM Absolutely right Embryodead. Can't wait to see their next mod for C3C. Enjoy your R&R guys!! |
