I was wondering because that is the one problem I have with CTP is that the ages go by too quickly.
and a small advance in tec gives some people a very big lead and I wan't to try and even the game out some by making ages last longer, so I want to put in some more tecnologys that do nothing to slow progress and evenly match the games!
because in my current game I am rolling over everyone else with tanks and they are just getting out of the Ancient age!

I doubt it. I do not think CTP 2 will allow you to change the researches but maybe you can find t if you can on a proper CTP 2 site.

Yes it would be...

What difficulty are you on? Any lower than Emperor results in me trouncing the computer too. Any higher and things seem a lot tougher. You could limit the amount cities you wish to settle, say to 20( or less). Or help your computer opponents out by giving them gifts of advances.

I think there is. When I was reading about making a scenario, I read something about changing the technology tree ( but makining sure the number of technologies was the same as what it said at the top)

You can change anything in CtP2 and i mean anything..... you can change a hell of a lot in CtP1 aswell......
