whenever i try to load a bigger scenario in c3c, after i select my civ, it goes to the map, but nothing is shown. everything is black and it says please wait... it also says configuring but the bar STAYS at about 80 %, it apppear as 80% ansd just stays there. it stays configuring but after like 10 seconds, the game stop responding..

can anyone help me?

Depending on the size of the map, the amount of 'custom' content, preplaced units and the speed of the computer this loading period can take quite a bit of time. I know of many mahcines that, whith certain maps, can take over half an hour to load.

It is also perfectly normal to have the task manager see the Civ program as being unresponsive during this entire time.
