The results of GOTM 24 have been released.

Congratulations to the medal and award winners, and all those that competed. :)

There's over 1000 pts gap between the 4th and 5th so the top 4 are in their own class. But I'm still glad and congratulate myself for being 5th despite no medals or awards.

Great work. Thx.
And play times are back in business :)

No "Cow" award this month? I think 29th EsaTP should have it.

Congratulations to the winners and to those who did a great game!

And two interesting observations: for the first time, none of the Conquest players scored in the top 50%.
for the first time, all top 10 positions are Predator games

Congratulations to everyone that played. Its good to see results starting to catch up.

I'm very impressed by Ainwood's conquest medal. Our new leader obviously doesn't feel constrained by preferred victory conditions.

You're right Kunningas. EsatP did have the highest base score. That's fixed now.

Wow. 6th is my second best ever. I enjoyed the game very much and actually 'felt' the story-line behind him. Good job all.

You're the one I'm jealous of though Drazek. You managed to get into 5th place in only 16 hours!

Mudfoot: Congratulations.

But I got a bit of a shock: you played 253 HOURS?
Wow... that's - aehm - long.... nearly 9 hours every day for the whole month. Did you leave the machine on overnight? Must be some error...
The 0:00:00 are not real either ;)

Cheers

Nice to have results coming now ! :)

Well, so, for my last completed GOTM before long, I make my best rank : 19th ! :) It seems that either I have improved a lot, either some good players went away, maybe both of these...

Congrats to all ! :goodjob:

I hope to see the summer Medal results now... :p

This time i'll congratulate myself :D First time in top 10 [party]

And ofcourse one cannot post anything into this thread without congratulating SirPleb for amazingly fast diplo finish date   :crazyeye:

Better read SirPleb's spoilers trough again and take a lesson from the master :)

And ofcourse big hug to cracker & co for crating the very entertaining game that gotm 24 was.

Congratulations to everyone! :goodjob:
It was definitely a facinating game, and good to see a variety of victory conditions in the top 11, even with the medal target conditions. Jason score seems to be alive and well!

Wow!! It is great to see the results coming in! :D

Congratulations to all the participants, and to the top scorers and medal winners! :goodjob: If I've counted properly, I submitted the 2nd fastest Diplo win, a mere 23 turns later than SirPleb's amazing game!! Fortunately I learned NuclearFission as my free Tech, or it would have been even later!

I don't get time to play GOTM and the medal play series, so I don't have much of an incentive to go after the medal-play victory condition.

I was actually quite surprised that this was the fastest conquest - I took the starting continent fairly quickly, but missed the Great Lighthouse, and had to wait around for navigation before I could attack the other continents. And I then had a bad-luck run in that I chose not to attack the northern-most continent, and they later got rubber and infantry which slowed me down.

I also had to wait for amphibious warfare to attack the little one-tile island cities. :)

From what I can see it was the only conquest! (The others were conquest losses).

Yes, ainwood also won the covetted 'Lowest Scoring Conquest' award this month as well. ;)

(currently two awards won't show up at the same time though due to my poorly written scripts)

 Well, I'm glad that out of the two awards, its the fastest one that showed up!

First, the congrats to all who played and enjoyed this wonderful adventure, kudos to Cracker for a well designed game.

Second, thanks to those responsible for the results, it's a lot of work and worth waiting for.

But (why is there always a but), do you expect to put the final medal play standings for tournament 5 any time soon (we are on game 6-6). (major embarrassment if I've missed that thread)

Thanks to all

The 1.29f saves (PC and MAC) don't keep track of the timeplayed, so will all show 0:00:00

man....I am going back down in ratings. :( ..either I am getting worse, or everybody else is getting better faster. Congrats to the top players.

Well, this was a disappointing score despite my wonderful late-game play. I ended up with nearly 50% of the total landmass by the time the Han launched their ship but my Jason score was less than half of the Civ score.

Out of all the entries I only noticed 5 cultural submissions, all 100k with 4 wins and 1 loss, and no 20k wins or losses at all. When are we going to see another Builder's GOTM?

thanks, gotm-team!:goodjob: it's good that the missing results from the last months are coming up!

congratulations to greatbeyond to your highest loss award! :goodjob: you beat me by 27 points! if my loss would have come only 3 or 4 turns later ...

remember ;) , i don't want to mock at you ... it's always good to get an award here on cfc. I would have been very satisfied to get this hl-award in my first gotm!
for gotm 25, i shifted to conquest, and i will do so for gotm 26.

last but not least, congratulations to Cracker the mod-erator for a successful and entertaining way to run the gotm competition.
i've always liked the way you were expressing yourself in the forums and in your articles. :goodjob:

have fun! :)
