I cannot get 1.29f patch for civ3 to work. I install it and then it tells me to put my civ3 cd-rom in the drive...even when it is already in the drive. It works fine without the patch, but once I patch it I won't run. What do I do?

On the patches page you can downlaod from several different 'mirrors'. What are they?

"Mirrors" are just additional servers that also contain the patch, to avoid overloading a single server with download requests. ;)

As for your problem, I don't know .... :confused:

How many and what kind of cd-rom drives do you have?

I have the EXACT same problem as this guy, after 1.29 is installed, nothing happens after you click to play the game.

I have the same problem. Scandinavian distribution. In addition I get the can't-find-CD-message in FRENCH (!!?).

I had a friend solve the problem for me. He like got two icons for me that I pasted on after installing the patch. If someone can tell me how, I may be able to post them somwhere for download. I'll talk to him and see what he did unless master_debater tells how to fix it first.
