HELP!

I just bought the 'game of the year edition' of CIV III and it crashes around 1AD. I went to the Atari web site and did everything they told me to, elimate fonts, disable background programs, installed the patch, updated the video drivers AND windows. I love Civ II and I really WANT to play civ III! Does anyone have any suggestions???

THank you!

What kind of computer(mainboard, processor, memory..) do you have? What operating sytem do you have? Have you sent an e-mail to the Atari customer support? Maybe they can help you. I sent them an e-mail, and they answered it. Unfortunately they couldn't help me, but at least they tried :).
I have also a problem with civ3, I can't load back anything after 200BC, so I have to finish my games around 200AD. But let's think positively, with the help of this bug(or feature:)) I can improve my early game tactics to a really good level :).

Thank you for your replies! I tried the atari support (e-mailed them the dxdiag file). They noticed that my video drivers had not been updated since early 2000. I thought that I had updated them, but I just re-installed the old drivers. I went to Gateway's tech support site (BIG MISTAKE!) and attempted to update my drivers there. I finally went to the Radeon web site and updated my drivers and THEN had to update a patch for the update! :undecide: Everything has worked out. Apparently it was a problem with Win ME and the way that Gateway computers are loaded. I hope that your problem gets worked out soon. Civ III is lots of fun.
