View Full Version : Political Parties... so much more! amirsan Dec 09, 2003, 06:25 PM I still think this would add so much fun and diplomacy to this game. And more polities. It would make this feel like a REAL Democracy... CivGeneral Dec 09, 2003, 06:58 PM I do not beleve that we need political parties. They would cause too much mudslinging and hurt freindships. amirsan Dec 09, 2003, 07:03 PM are u sure? has it been done before? And failed? ravensfire Dec 09, 2003, 07:50 PM I believe that we have decided to not have political parties in this game. Ah yes, Here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67689) it is. Please, let's not open this up again. It's been discussed and decided once. -- Ravensfire amirsan Dec 09, 2003, 08:31 PM I know, but this is a new Demo Game and I suggest it again to see if the interest may still be up. But I guess not... does anyone have a link to when it WAS political parties in this game? I would like to see what took the fire... Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 09, 2003, 08:47 PM We said no. We voted on it before the forum was created. Its a closed issue. We've been through this debate already. Can we get a close on this thread for redundancy? amirsan Dec 09, 2003, 08:49 PM ummm, ok, I got it, but does anyone have a link? It dont matter to me, only a suggestion. wow, people are soo grumpy these days... ravensfire Dec 09, 2003, 09:12 PM amirsan, the link in my post is to the poll for DG4. It's all there ... Read through the entire thread - you'll get a better understanding. -- Ravensfire Sarevok Dec 10, 2003, 12:44 AM i believe No is the answer to this question, its not a good idea at all. Cyc Dec 10, 2003, 01:04 AM Welcome back, Sarevok. Sarevok Dec 10, 2003, 11:34 AM thanks, i just noticed the forums were up, so I am here :D. Political parties probably will cause some crazy disaster. it sounds cool, but the chance of a major screwup is massive. amirsan Dec 10, 2003, 01:33 PM ok I understand. Thanks for explaining it. Can't wait until the real game! Bootstoots Dec 10, 2003, 01:52 PM Originally posted by Stuck_As_a_Mac We said no. We voted on it before the forum was created. Its a closed issue. We've been through this debate already. Can we get a close on this thread for redundancy? Straight from the department of the redundancy department. ;) amirsan Dec 10, 2003, 01:55 PM though might I add something? in that thread you osted a link for raven, FortyJ has a great point, in which why I wanted Political Parties but he also said the Citizen Groups are almost the same, then why are many joining all the citizen groups, it looses value to the groups, ALOT. I myself joined a couple though I am about to quit them. I think there should be a rule that you may only join the citizen groups of the same genre at one time. So people on the Children of Peace cant realy join the Warmonger group BECAUSE it makes NO sense. Jk_Realn Dec 10, 2003, 06:11 PM Citizen groups probably make their own rules. For example, the Children of Peace will probably make a rule saying they aren't allowed to support war in any way. Citizens that do join multiple groups will probably be kicked out of ones they violate rules in. Citizen groups have no real tie with law making except for their standard citizen rights, so this shouldn't be talked about just yet, because this has to do with the code of laws rather than citizen rights and government running. amirsan Dec 10, 2003, 06:36 PM OK, well I withdraw from this argument and will let it rest in peace. You may delete the thread if you guys want. |
