I decided to post a graphical mod I first made for my internal use. This replaces leader pics on foreign adviser screen with respective era-specific flags. These flags even have a "mood", represented by a colored circle around them. Currently the flags are available for:

Just name them, please... And one more thing - ancient civs (Sumer, Hittite) are an almost no-do, due to obvious lack of flags from that era. My God, Babylon was a hard one... Almost all civs present in vanill and civ3x are included, plus the Dutch and Incas too. Byzantines are merged with Greeks (have no idea why separate them), so maybe the only civ worth the addition from the regular game is Portugal. And maybe Persia. Or do you want something for a scenario?

Point taken, but most of these leader-flags are not era specific (or at least a full set is unavailable). Such an advisor can only be made for a complete leader set. Still, Portugal seems to be complete enough... :)

Seven are done - check if that is what you need. BTW, is second Sweden really Finland?

The files should be located in ART/ADVISORS dir, and specific files are assigned to civs via pediaicons.txt, the very first batch of links.

@ Walter: i have seen some are done, but as said, I need them to have the same graphics for all eras, since the CIV in my scenario change Eras, but should not change flags...
also, the modern flags you have in the fourth era are the ones I need in the 3rd Era....

If you're talking about the WWII ones, they're just like the ones in the first post, just not era-specific. All in all, I wouldn't like to make previews out of more than 50 files. The one for Arabia gives you the idea of what they all look like. Maybe I will post an in-game shot, though...

Well, it would be more simple for me to do if you were a bit more specific: which civs exactly you need, do these need to be era-specific, and if you also need leader pics (see my sig) to use with them.

It would be nice if you could do foreign advisor flags also for:

Persia (Modern Iran can be used)
Byzantium (I believe they used flags...)
Maya (Guatemalan flag will do for modern times)
Austria
Portugal

Well, I'm on it, except for a small problem with Byzantium - it is incorporated in the Greek version as medieval (don't really see why they should be separate civs). If you wish, I could do "Byzantium-free" Greece and separate Byzantium (Romania - modern?) or else Greece and Byzantum can be used interchangeably, if you don't have both in one game. Still, expect it to be finished in two-four days.

Okay, here's a long due update - Argentina, Australia, Portugal and Byzantium. Please note, that Byzantium 2nd epoch is similar to Greece and Argentina's 1st and 2nd is similar to Incas. As for Mayas, pics are welcome. Will do as soon as get pics. Will do Austria and Persia then too, for the sake of completeness.

P.S. If you want your request to be made soon enough, don't PM me. I check my PM box on a very irregular basis.

Could you please make flags for Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand? I need the modern versions for all eras. If you cannot do it, how can I make them myself?

Actually, I'm a daily visitor to the forums, if a bit of a lurker. I'd answer sooner, but I was on a three-week long trip around Europe. Still, I guess I can't help you much, sorry. I used to have a Photoshop template for doing these things easily, but I'm no longer into Civ3 and I'm afraid I've deleted it... Won't be able to quickly redo it to be the same too.

The only bit of advice I can give is for Indonesia - it looks exactly like Poland which I did. Sorry once again. :blush:
