I fully agree with limiting the individuals powers, but this wording doesn't exclude holding multiple deputy positions, which can be overpowering.

I have to vote no, because of that.

Understandable, Rik, but you have to consider that adding deputies to a Constitutional article will make that aspect very hard to change. And since we really are not sure of our participation level just yet it makes sense to add any such restriction to our Code of Laws, which will be much easier to change.

Article H, as written, will still allow us to address your concerns in our CoL. :)

I would also like to see the restriction on deputies in the constitution but given the fact that deputies can't be automatically elevated without be appointed I guess it doesn't matter much any more. :(

Don't be so hasty there donsig. I'm planning (and hoping it makes it) to do exactly that with vacant offices. If there is a deputy, the law will appoint them (elevate) to office automatically.

I agree with you about this - I'm not going to give that goal up.

I am still a but confused. Can 1 person hold a leader position and 1 or more deputy positions ? And if yes, how many ?

Rik,

The Constitution limits a person to holding no more than one office. Deputies actually aren't mentioned in the Constitution (if I recall correctly). The section regarding deputies in the CoL puts two restrictions on deputies:
-- No citizen who is an office holder may be a deputy
-- No citizen may be the deputy of more than one office.

So answer answer is that a citizen may hold one office, OR be the deputy of one office, OR be neither an office holder or a deputy.

Hope that helps!
