I coudnt find in whole forum a link to help me to install a scenario, so can someone help me?

I own Conquest, had installed also vanilla and would like to play Japan 1583 scenario, it comes zipped with tons of files, where those files go?

I put it in PTW scenario folder, but when loaded the game it crashed, error data not find blah blah, I feel the tons of files have to go somewhere

My version is also french, has this anything to do with english based scenarios?

Is Japan 1583 working with Conquest also?

PS something more, this scenario has .bix at the end, my editor keep searching for .biq files to save, damnt, I dont have a clue about

But in response, IMO it might have something to do with the unit names the scenario uses. Try translating the units into English if they are in French to see if that helps.

If it was made for PTW IIRC it will not work for Conquests - you'll have to convert it to Conquests format but theat will take a lot of time and is nit-picky from what I here so see if someone else would do that.

BTW, I get the same error message as the guy with the message link

"ERROR READING FILE" missing file blah blah (1583 Japan scenario)

Salamandre - actualy that is in a different part of this forum. In response to your problem - have you tried putting in into the conquests scenarios file? The files should go with the rest of the scenario (the scenario should find them on its own if you put the main folder in the right place). I have never before seen language being a problem but there's a first for everthing...

You should contact the scenario's creator and see if he/she can help.

The files all go under a folder, which should be part of what you downloaded. It should match with what is written in 'Scenario Properties.'

Also, put that folder and everythin else under Conquest/Scenarios.

But as Phoenix said, you should get the scenario creator to help you.

A ".bix" file is for PTW. ".biq" is for Conquests. You can *probably* load a .bix into the Conquests editor, without loss of anything, but there might be some quirks.

And this file is now moved to the *correct* forum: Creation & Customization. The subforums, like "Completed Scenarios",are for finished files only, not question threads. ;)
