A decision must be made concerning the date and time for Creation Day. Traditionally, these two factors have been decided upon by the citizens as a whole, but the arguement has been brought up that a President sets all scheduling of turn chats. If you have been following the discussion in the Creation Day thread, you are aware of the situation.

Should the date and time of Creation Day be set by the President or the citizens? Please chose one of the 3 options below:

1. The Citizens (soon)

2. The President (after elections)

3. ABSTAIN

Disussion can be found here. This poll will stay open for 48 hours.

I vote for the Citizens. There are too many people scattered all over the world for this decision to be made by one person.

Besides, if we don't know the date and time before New Years Day, there will be no way to plan for it in our r/l schedules.

I'm voting for the President to make this decision just like every other turnchat; however, I do think that the candidates for President should make their planned Creation Day times known. Also, there is the very real possibility that the citizens may schedule a time that the President can't make.

It is most important that the Prez is present for the creation (he/she is the DP, after all) so he should pick the time. I do think there has to be some flexibility shown by the Prez to accomodate as many schedules as possible, but we will never find a time that suits all people around the world.

Besides, how much happend during the creation anyway. I'll read about it in a turnchat summary if I can't make it.

I think it should be the citizens we are the backbone of the game we should decide on when it is made

It has to be the President, he/she is the only one strictly needed to be present for the creation day.

I like it to be this way:
The President suggests several dates and times for the Creationchat and the citizens respond to that, for instance in a poll.

The President must be the one who choses the Creation Date and time

Boots, TMan90 and Rik all have the right idea. Let the President decide after taking feedback from the citizenry.

And this poll is closed! The people have split on this one voting 9-9-1. I will post these results in the appropriate thread, wait to see if there is any further discussion, and then repoll.
