Hello,
I was playing my game and I notcied that in one city i rebuilt temple over and over about 5 tmes, and collessum abut 2 times. It happened to other things in other cities also. I understand that iif the city riots, they will destroy things, but i never saw that they destroyed the temple or the collessu, it just came back up to rebuild it. any ideas?

I also hav another question, how come when I take over a foreign city i have to build everything? dosen't the AI cities build buildings, and stuff?

Thanks,

It may be that your cities are automatically selling off your temples because you don't have enough gold to pay for the maintainence cost that is required to keep your temples.

When you take over a city, any building that produces culture (temples, libraries, etc.) will be destroyed, the exception to this is great wonders which you do get to keep (but not small wonders). You do keep other buildings that don't produce culture (barracks, harbors, etc.)

Also, when you capture a city, there is a chance that non-culture producing cities may get destroyed. Not sure of the formula. So while the CIV might have had a barracks there, it may be gone when you take over.

Regards to you rebuilding your improvements. Yes, sometimes riotors destroy buildings, but you will normally get a little message similar to WLTK. Also, if your enemy is shelling you, they may destroy some buildings. (same goes during your offesives)

Make sure your people are happy and the AI doesn't get near your cities.

Yes, if rioters do destory a building a "pop up" will occur, as sealman said it is very similar to WLTK pop-up. But I have come to realize that if I don't watch my screen well enough I will miss the "pop up" this is one of those things that I wish they would have made a bit larger :) Dunno why I miss the pop-up so much, guess I need glasses :)
