Those dang, rotten, dastardly RESISTING CITIZENS...check this out...I had just levelled a major English city with 3 Elite Knights and moved in an extra 4 and one musketman to compel the 6 resisting citizens to obey the rule of Bismark...well those bleedin' zealots revolted and reverted back to English because of English 'culture' and I lost every single unit in that city...thus I helped turn it into an impregnable fortress with 7 knights and a musketman and who knows what else...ahhh now that is scary...should have razed the stupid thing

actually, I just retook the city and it seems my Knights disappeared...so they didnt benefit as well as I thought...still I'm pursuing a policy now of razing cities unless they have wonders...also the amount of workers that bow before you just before you gloriously march in might be an indication of the kind of resistance you will get?...maybe not, maybe city size...
Kind of a pain to deal with though...esp. when enemy civ is on another continent and you want to use their cities as jumping off points...kind of like what is happening in Afghanistan really

suggestion: maybe you should go for their capital first, so that other cities are less motivated to get back to their motherland.
feel free to try!
and PLEASE keep us - unlucky ones - informed...
