Just say no to anything Fana or can based. In my mind, this should be between Parisians and Les Civerables. I, as the creator of Les Civerables, even voted for Parisians

Fanaticans is good as is

Frankly, I don't like any of the options much. But I can't complain, I have no better suggestion myself.

Voted for Fanaticans as it is the name I dislike the least, though I agree we realy should have a name other than one based on Civfanatics.

Fanatois, It's different but still the same. I like it! ( But who am I to say? :P )

I was the first to vote for them in the first poll, I thought they'd lose for sure.

No please we cannot have the fanaticans, it just doesnt go well with the laid back attitude we must employ if we were going to be the Parisians which was what i was getting myself set up for.

But please not the Parisians either. It just doesn't sound right.

Thouh I just had this stupid idea; what if we call ourself "The French"?

Some of these don't make sense as a name for a nation, but do make sense as what the people are called. For example, Freneticans would be what the people are called and Frenetica would be the nation name. Or was it intended that the nation name be Freneticans?

This poll (and the discussion thread you created) is about what we will be called. It's not what the nation name will be. The people in France call themselves the French, they do not call themselves the Frances.

Of the above Options there is really only one that could apply to a nation's name, and that is Fanaticallia (which doesn't have any votes). But is is also applicable to the nation's people.

I set up these polls because the discussion thread died. I used all the names that were presented in the thread. Changing them to fit another goal wouldn't have been right.

I think it would be save to assume that these are the names of the people. I know that when I proposed LesCiverables, I did a full...Lemme dig

It was Prisoner 24601 (title) Obsessed Val Jean, leader of LesCiv and the LesCiverables, where LesCiv was the nation name and LesCiverables were the adjective.
One would assume it was nation name=Paris for Cyc idea. But thats just mine, and if the poll were to stop now, Les Civ would be in the next run off and it would need the proper nouns.

Like Zorven, I got a bit confused in the discussion as to whether we were naming our nation or our people. I eventually suggested combining suggestions as some were suitable for a country and other for the people and gave the example Les Civerables de Fanatiqua (Les Civerables = the people, Fanatiqua = the Country).

I voted Les Civerables in this (and the last) poll for the name of our people as it was suitably French sounding but still had some connections to Civ Fanatics.

I know it was not Cyc’s intention, but Parisians sounds too much like real life, ie: people from Paris – if we choose that why not just go the whole hog as Cheetah suggests and call ourselves the French and our country France?

With Les Civerables for the name of our people we are still free to choose the name of our nation – it doesn’t have to be based on Les Civerables, eg (using the other names in the poll):
