In the first poll for this issue, we moved up the top 6 of 15 Options. In this poll we're bringing up the top 2 of 6. I would have liked to have gone for something different, but I'm not from Paris, so it has to be Fanaticans for me.

@40- im a butcher of the french language! my history teachers refuse to let me do a reading if there is anything french in it. give me latin and any of its romance derivatives, but not french.

id prefer a french translation of fanatica instead of what we have here. Like forty it doesnt flow for me and lacks the homage to the site.

Out of those two choices, I've got to go with Parisians.

On a side note, Rik give Stuck a little credit with the French. Most people from the US could not have come up with that. And just to mention it, we should have been Nederlanders.

Perhaps you will one day; So far no RL civ has achieved conquest, domination, diplomatic or cultural victory. Sure a spaceship was launched, but Alpha Centauri isn't reached yet. And the Dutch are still in the game. With Patience and enough luck the Dutch will get a conquest victory in RL. :lol:

But as a matter of fact, my french isn't correct either. I just got commented upon by my GF that it is Parisien, not Parisian.

I voted for Fanaticans. Parisians sounds strange as far as our demogames are concerned, and plus, what are we going to call ourselves, Paris? And if so, I think everybody would have to agree that Vandelay, Paris (or any other city name, I just used one of DZ's as an example) sounds strange.

I did vote in the previous polls. My time has been limited lately and what little I've posted recently has been in the CoL/CoS discussions.

So I guess by default our country will be called Fanatica? :hmm: I find it strange that we are deciding what to call ourselves before we name the nation that our identity will be based upon. :crazyeye:
