Propose something, then. I have considered Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne.

Well, first I have to say "Cabaret", since that was my idea. But next, why not one of the wines (the ones you mentioned, sans champagne) or Normandy?

We had 'Normandy' before, remember?

I think Berry is fine. We don't have to go with wines.

Umm, the new CoL article on appointed positions has not been ratified yet. ;) FYI, confirmation polls are no longer required, but any citizen can post a poll asking for the appointment to be voided. Help with the queue, support the mayors... pretty much anything that you think would help improve our province.

I can do that.

Mr. Governor, may I suggest that we free up the Worker to go North and explore for a while, rather than work on irrigation or mining? I believe that because we will be producing Settlers so quickly, that we get an early idea of what our map looks like.

Do we not have a Warrior for exploration? With such a bountiful starting point, the worker can be used to maximize the Flood Plains and get us Settlers and Workers even faster.

Or we can build roads on river tiles and implement them at first. This can give us an early Scientific(or commerce) boost.

Let's not send a Worker out into the unknown undefended, please.

I'd like to know if the Governor thinks we should settle here or not. Perhaps the hill wouold make a better location?

@Cyc- I would rather build roads for the time being and order the warrior that will soon be built to explore.

@Vander- Actually, I think that our current location is best, as it will allow us to get all the benefits of the surrounding terrain.

The Ministry of Defense is proud of the build queues the Province of Berry has placed in 2 Warriors into the slots :).

I applaud the governor for posting build queues in a timely manner but I feel compelled to point out that a little citizen discussion and maybe even a citizen poll on this matter would be appropriate. ;)

(Discussing: ) I agree with the governor on his choice. I would also propose that we put in another warrior and then a settler. Three directions of exploration are better than two.

Plexus: since we started, it might be a good idea to update your first posts.

tip: if you just dump updates in new posts last in the thread, rather than updating the first posts, it's easier for viewers to keep track of any changes. plus, the progress will be easier to follow if we for any reason want to check it later.

There's actually a bit of tradition in keeping summary informational posts at the top of the thread, and posting notices of what changed at the bottom. So you're both right... :D

And to back Plexus up a bit, having it updated before the next turnchat is usually doing pretty good. Often people will be gone for a day or two. If there were only a way to let individuals edit a common post without giving them mod authority as well...

And now for an in-game request, while the IA ministry applauds getting a settler out as soon as possible, another warrior first to replace dear departed Chuck would be a good idea. To that end I'd suggest working both bonus grass for enough turns to squeeze out a warrior, and then switching back to one bonus grass and the irrigated wheat.

Does the esteemed Governor intend to revisit his previous insructions as they relate to the order of production in our capitol city given the recent events which resulted in the loss of our very first military unit?

I respectfully request that you consider the option of shifting our immediate priorities from production of a band of settlers, and instead replace the fallen comrades who died against 3-1 odds attempting to save our fair city.

As Minister of Defense. I would like to see mre warriors placed in the build queue to replace the one we lost in the barbarian assault.

We definitely need 1 or even 2 more warriors prior to the 1st settler. Please consider setting the queue accordingly, and issuing orders to micro-manage to maximize shields over growth so we don't end up having to raise the lux rate when the pop reaches 3 or 4.

I would concur with the current feelings on the queue. Another warrior (or two) would be a good idea. A new queue will be polled.

i'd like to sign up for the position of a major as well. i want a bit more involvement in the game, and a little experience doesn't hurt.

I'd like to be the mayor of Vo Mimbre, but as Vandelay seems to already have a mayor (Cheiftess) and Will_518 has requested a mayorship too, i guess i'm second in line with only one city available. lol.
if i cant have Vo Mimbre, i'd like to be considered for mayorship of any other town that gets settles that ISNT in/on a floodplain. i'm allergic to all the bugs and desease that those places produce.

Vandelay was not taken by CT, RoddyVR. C T's Mayorship is for the Capital City (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=1548916#post1548916), Deux Rivieres. This means there are still two cities open as far as a Mayorship goes. :)

oh, good point. i had assumed CT had Vandelay cause:
1. he mentioned it in his post asking to be mayor.
2. i assumed the governor holds the Mayoral position of the "main" city of the province.

guess i was wrong to assume. lol.
so i guess, i'm still asking to be mayor of Vo Mimbre.
I'm sure i'll be more thorough as a mayor, as i'll have a more limited amount of threads to look through for "relative" info, as aposed to a broad "i wonder where this could be" i was faced with in this issue.
