Using the 1.12beta patch.

Not sure if this is a bug.

When using the auto bombard feature of the artillery, if the artillery is in a square next to an enemy city it will not bombard on the next turn. Not sure if this is same for all types of artilley (Catapults, Cannons, etc.). It seems the autobombard is being cancelled when an enemy unit appears in a square next to the artillery. If this is correct then it makes the auto bombard useless for units that can only bombard one square.

Also found that you can bombard the same square that the artillery is in...I guess they point the guns straight up and run!!!

This has always been the case if you have the option to cancel actions on spotting an enemy.

I do agree that it does make the feature pointless on short range bombard units.

What is really needed (for my 937th time) is not auto-bombard, but rather stack bombard.

I second this notion. I guess that would make it 938.
