We need two chat operators other than DZ and I, so if you would like to nominate someone, do it here.

The rules regarding these positions have not been codified yet, but the primary purpose is simply to make sure everything functions properly. At this point, the chat ops will answer to the moderators, and any decision to devoice, kick or ban another citizen will be reviewed by us. I have started a discussion thread regarding the chat room in the citizens forum.

I would like to be a chat op, but I would like to see a chat schedule before I commit to anything.

I'll nominate CG and second boots, it's gotta be someone who's around in the chat rooms often, and both are there quite regularly.

I will accept my Nominations. I am pretty much online all the time.

I think the main thing we should be looking for in chat ops is maturity and impartiality. The commands are easy to learn, and you only need to know a few.

I will run if you need any GMT chat oppers things, i wont be as good at making the later times

I'll nominate myself and accept. I am mature and impartial when in a position of authority, I am online often, and I know how to use op commands in IRC (remember #debates, its still there, with me as an op ;))

I will second Bacon King and CG. I'm not online too much these days to run for this.

Eklektikos

I'll self nominate for this one as well, as I'm often online and on IRC in the evening (GMT) and, since my participation in the game itself is now so limited by daytime internet access constraints, I doubt I'll even be following the game closely enough to develop partisan sympathies so I can guarantee impartiality. I'm also pretty au-fait with the op commands that I envisage being required for this job, so technical ability should not be an issue.

Note however that I am only likely to be on between the 1900h & 0100h GMT (1400h & 2000h EST).

I'll second Eklektikos, who would be perfect for the position imho

Octavian X

I'll shamelessly nominate myself, and point to the countless hours I've spend on IRC each day, as well as the months I spent as an op in the old chatroom. Plus, I'm already on staff with the network, meaning I can deal with abnormal problems that could arise when things happen that our outside a normal op's control.

I'll second the honorable Octavian X.

well since other people are doing it, I'll nominate myself and accept- you need only to ask the people in that room and you'll find that I at least have the chat screen up on most days (though if i'm actually paying attention or not depends on what people are on AIM...though if elected I would give more to the chatroom if needed)-oh yes, and if needed, I accept my self nomination ;)
