wwhill Jan 04, 2004, 04:12 PM One more rule. No communications on strategy or deals with other players until you contact each other in the game. Then anything goes.
Goober Jan 04, 2004, 08:34 PM What the crickery is the Queen thing? Is that natural?
wwhill Jan 04, 2004, 08:50 PM Not sure what you are asking here.
wwhill Jan 04, 2004, 08:57 PM Re: What the crickery is the Queen thing? Is that natural?
I know what you are asking. That is your queen. In regicide if the queen or king gets killed. you are out.

Ohhh, Queenicide. Gotcha. Never played that way, never seen it before. Thanks
Apricorn Jan 05, 2004, 03:22 PM Turn to Germany
Goober Jan 05, 2004, 11:19 PM Passed to Celts
Apricorn Jan 06, 2004, 02:12 PM Turn sent to the Germans
Goober Jan 10, 2004, 11:49 PM Turn sent to Celts
Apricorn Jan 11, 2004, 03:34 AM Double Post - Please delete
Apricorn Jan 11, 2004, 03:59 AM The future of the youg Celtic civilization stood in the balance. King Brennus has been warned about exploring without proper military protection. But the headstrong King had refused to wait for the new warriors to be trained before he began exploring the lands surrounding Cardiff, taking only his personal bodyguards. And so it was that he stumbled upon a horde of hostile Barbarians whilst exploring a nearby forest.
(Turn sent to Germany)
wwhill Jan 11, 2004, 08:06 AM Good stuff
Goober Jan 11, 2004, 11:30 PM This is not good . . . that would be a TERRIBLE way to end the game (for Apricorn) Then I would have to send it to someone else (What? Change? NEVAH!!!)
Good Luck with that
Apricorn Jan 12, 2004, 03:00 AM Thanks.
If my King unit is destroyed will I even know about it? id assume it would happen at the end of the turn when the AI plays? Havent got the next turn yet so Im getting worried!
Apricorn Jan 13, 2004, 03:42 AM Just to let everyone know, Salts Pikey seems to have gone AWOL (im in another PBEM with him)
Not sure what we can do about this other than hope he returns soon, as noone knows his password.
wwhill Jan 13, 2004, 05:00 AM I will check into
Apricorn Jan 14, 2004, 03:32 AM Salts Pikey has now been replaced in the other game Im in with him.
I think we should try and find a temporary replacement for him in this too. If he returns then he can take over his game again.
If everyone in agreement, i'll post a thread about it?
wwhill Jan 14, 2004, 03:48 AM Salts sent his turn yesterday with this message. I have relayed the game.
sorry about the delay, pass on my apologies to the next player!!
it wont happen again.
Salts.
Apricorn Jan 14, 2004, 04:02 AM Thats good news, welcome back Salts.
Apricorn Jan 14, 2004, 01:12 PM The Celtic King laughed like a maniac raising his fist in triumph as the barbarians fled. Outnumbered three to one, the King and his bodyguards had not only stood their ground but in the face of barbarian attack, as an act of defiance, exposed their brightly painted genitals to the barbarians. This gesture along with the taunting and shouting had caused the hordes to run in terror in the face of such an obviously mighty opponent. Nevertheless, there was not a moment to be lost, a messenger was dispatched and a band of Celtic warriors from Cardiff was ordered to join what would now be a barbarian hunt.
The reputation of the Celts and their King had been established without a drop of blood being shed.
(turn sent to the Germans)
Goober Jan 15, 2004, 01:46 PM Well, that is good, you survived. You were lucky only 1 attacked and not all of them. This may have been a VERY short game, for you. Good Luck Everyone
Apricorn Jan 15, 2004, 01:58 PM Hey, how did you know only one attacked? I never mentioned that:confused:
Goober Jan 15, 2004, 02:02 PM the King and his bodyguards had not only stood their ground but in the face of barbarian attack
You said Attack, not AttackS
Apricorn Jan 15, 2004, 05:04 PM Originally posted by RealGoober

ahh, elementary my dear Watson ;)
Goober Jan 15, 2004, 06:42 PM 'Tis true . . .
Apricorn Jan 16, 2004, 02:51 PM The king smeared his chest in the blood of the now defeated barbarians. The horde had found their courage again and once again ambushed the King on his way back to Cardiff. This time the taunting from the Celts did not scare them away. The barbarians attacked in two waves, and were slaughtered down to a man, without a single injury to the King or his bodyguards. The experience would no doubt prove valuable. But for now, there would be much merriment in Cardiff.
(turn sent)
Goober Jan 16, 2004, 03:42 PM Ohhh, the last two Barbarians did attack after all . . .
Apricorn Jan 18, 2004, 10:30 AM Seems we've stalled again..Who has the turn?
Goober Jan 18, 2004, 11:10 AM I do not have it. I sent it to Apricorn last time.
Apricorn Jan 19, 2004, 01:06 PM So its either with Salts pikey or WWhill...
wwhill Jan 19, 2004, 02:02 PM I had sent it on Saturday morning. I sent it again to RealGoober.
Goober Jan 19, 2004, 04:44 PM I'm sorry, I either missed a game save, forgot to send it to Apricorn, or my bloody Internet Server (Telus) didn't send my the E-mail (most likely)
Sorry about that . . .
Apricorn Jan 19, 2004, 05:18 PM No problem
Goober Jan 19, 2004, 05:43 PM Played, sent. It WAS Telus, my Internet Server, they sent the Email that wwhill sent on Sat. Morning TODAY!!! Time for another long, condescending e-mail . . .
Apricorn Jan 22, 2004, 01:16 PM We're stuck again.
Last turn I sent was to Salts pikey on the 20th.
Not had one since.
By the way, Salts pikey has dropped out of the other game due to "other commitments".
Not sure if he intends to stay in this one or not.
wwhill Jan 22, 2004, 01:55 PM I will look into a sub
Vancouver 2010 Jan 22, 2004, 03:55 PM If you need a replacement for a particular player anytime soon, hook me up.

Goober Jan 23, 2004, 02:04 AM Hey guys. I am just wondering if this PBEM has stalled again? I sent it to Apricorn sometime earlier, haven't yet received another save. I shall blame by Internet Server (stupid Telus) for now, but has the save been sent to me?
Vancouver 2010 Jan 23, 2004, 02:18 AM 3650 BC Sent to wwhill.
Goober Jan 23, 2004, 02:20 AM Ahh, excellent, we are back in action . . . ASSUME THE POSITIONS!!!

:goodjob:
By the way, I wont be able to play the turn tonight, as Im going out straight after work, but will play it by around 0900 GMT tomorrow (Saturday) morning
Goober Jan 23, 2004, 10:01 AM Yes, Welcome Vancouver2010 (yes, Burgess . . . ) Glad to see we are back on track. I am at GMT-8, btw.
Vancouver 2010 Jan 23, 2004, 10:19 AM Yes, Burgess. First name Michael.
Apricorn Jan 24, 2004, 03:16 AM Received the turn from RealGoober but it was one Id already played. Have asked him to resend
Goober Jan 24, 2004, 12:16 PM I sent the turn that I had received from Whitney, and played. If that one is not the correct Game Save, then I do not have the proper Game Save.
I resent it.
Apricorn Jan 24, 2004, 12:38 PM Thanks Realgoober, the one you resent was the right one.
Have sent on to Vancouver2010
Goober Jan 24, 2004, 12:39 PM Ahhh . . . excellent, we are back on track. Vancouver2010 should be waking up soon . . .
wwhill Jan 24, 2004, 01:06 PM Looks like we are definitely on track!
Vancouver 2010 Jan 24, 2004, 01:10 PM Turn sent to wwhill.
Goober Jan 24, 2004, 01:38 PM Played, sent
Apricorn Jan 24, 2004, 01:47 PM and onto Vancouver 2010.
That was a nice quick turn!
Vancouver 2010 Jan 24, 2004, 02:42 PM Turn sent to wwhill ... again! Two turns in one day! That's just unheard of! ;)
Goober Jan 24, 2004, 08:16 PM wwhill, you sent me the Wrong Game Save. When I loaded it, it asks me for the password for the Celts (Apricorn), not the Egyptians (me).
Goober Jan 24, 2004, 09:47 PM Played, sent to Apricorn Jan. 24th.
Vancouver 2010 Jan 25, 2004, 12:45 PM Turn sent to wwhill.
Vancouver 2010 Jan 26, 2004, 03:51 PM 3450 bc sent to wwhill.
Goober Jan 26, 2004, 07:34 PM @ wwhill - I got the wrong game save . . .
Goober Jan 27, 2004, 12:10 AM Got it, Played it, Sent it. Life is as it should be.

Please could you resend.
Goober Jan 27, 2004, 10:05 AM Whoops, I just did a flurry of e-mail, must have missed you. I have re-sent. Sorry for the delay.
wwhill Jan 27, 2004, 10:17 AM Remember no negotiations until you have made contact on the map.
Goober Jan 27, 2004, 03:22 PM Oh, ok, gotcha. Nothing to negotiate about anyway . . .
Re-Sent turn to Apricorn, btw . . . hope it work . . .
Vancouver 2010 Jan 27, 2004, 04:51 PM 3400 BC sent to wwhill.
salts_pikey Jan 28, 2004, 09:31 AM thanks for letting me know i had been 'replaced'....
Vancouver 2010 Jan 28, 2004, 06:10 PM 3350 bc sent to wwhill.
Vancouver 2010 Jan 29, 2004, 06:09 PM 3300 bc sent to wwhill.
I find it very interesting that I'm the only one posting after every turn to say that I've sent it.
OK, I don't find it that interesting, but that's distinctly not the point. (I think ...)
wwhill Jan 29, 2004, 06:26 PM Who said it was necessary to post after each move?
Vancouver 2010 Jan 29, 2004, 06:30 PM No one. I just do it to avoid getting blamed if and when the game stalls. (Even though I'm gonna get blamed anyway...)
Goober Jan 29, 2004, 07:37 PM Of course. Vancouver2010 always gets blamed (after me, of course).
I think the order is:
Blame RealGoober, then Blame Vancouver2010.
Goober Jan 29, 2004, 08:25 PM Got It, Played It, Sent It.
3250 or something BC sent to Apricorn.
Apricorn Jan 30, 2004, 03:10 AM I can be blamed tonight as Im going out straight after work to see some satand up comedy so wont be able to play the turn until Saturday morning GMT
Vancouver 2010 Jan 31, 2004, 01:09 PM Signed, sealed, stamped, and stapled. (Mmm...stealing RealGoober's line...)
In other words, 3250 BC sent to wwhill.

STEALING MY LINES IS DARN RIGHT!!! IF I WEREN'T SO DARN LAZY, I WOULDA PATENTED THAT. AND FURTHERMORE, WHY DIDN'T I THINK ABOUT THAT?!? I USUALLY SAY THAT!!! I MEAN REALLY, THE ONE PHRASE I ACTUALLY THINK UP OF MYSELF, AND IT GETS STOLEN!!!
I likely had it coming, since I constantly steal everyone else's lines.
I will stick to my "Got it. Played it. Sent it" though . . .

Goober Feb 03, 2004, 09:44 AM Sorry about that, had a Marathon PBEM going on, I guess my Inbox got filled up. Try sending it again.
Stinking Storage Limit . . . I don't see a Derivative, though . . .
Goober Feb 03, 2004, 04:38 PM http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/NiceCitySite.GIF
That is a Screenie of my Nicest City Site yet. Hehe, not to brag or anything . . .
Unfortunately the Ottomans are close by, which stinks, but I shall take care of them shortly . . .
Apricorn Feb 04, 2004, 07:04 AM V nice location for a city
Goober Feb 04, 2004, 09:36 AM Yes, I like it. BtW, if my Stupid Hotmail Account refuses to function, you can send the Game Saves to my Yahoo account; nathanlapointe13@yahoo.ca.
It is less frequently checked, but my Hotmail account is not liking me.
Apricorn Feb 08, 2004, 06:05 AM Did we stall again?
wwhill Feb 08, 2004, 06:37 AM I sent it out on Feb 4 to smartekid_6@hotmail.com at 11:00 Am
Goober Feb 08, 2004, 11:18 AM I coulda sworn that I sent the Save on to Apricorn, but I guess I didn't. My bad. Sent to Apricorn Feb 8th, @ 17:23 GMT
Apricorn Feb 08, 2004, 12:59 PM I sent it on the 6th Feb to Vancouver.
The turn RealGoober resent me was the turn before that one.
Vancouver 2010 Feb 08, 2004, 01:14 PM I distinctly and definitely played and sent my turn to wwhill, so I think it's safe to say that it's all RealGoober's fault!
Who wants me to whack him over the head tomorrow during school? ;)
Edit: It may or may not be potentially my fault. I definitely played my turn. The sending part has been put into question by Apricorn. I'd still like to know how many people want me to whack RealGoober over the head tomorrow at school though (just because it's so much fun! :D).
Goober Feb 08, 2004, 07:26 PM I have just now received a turn from wwhill, I had not received that one before, I checked. Will play and send. Wasn't my fault, I never received that turn. I blame this completely on Micro$oft and Telus, my Internet provider . . .
And bring it, Vancouver2010, bring it . . .

Are you, by any chance, the reason that RealGoober is not liking Grade 12? ;)
Goober Feb 08, 2004, 08:01 PM Heck no, Vancouver2010 is the least of my worries, him and his groundless threats (on TOAST!!!).
I don't like Grade 12 because of the stress, and insane amounts of hw that eat up my non-school time . . . I am sure you guys all fondly remember those days . . .
Apricorn Feb 08, 2004, 08:04 PM Ahhh, dont worry it gets better.
By the way, did you play the turn? If you send it withint the next 15 minutes or so, I'll be able to play if before I go to bed (its 2:16 AM here)
Goober Feb 08, 2004, 08:07 PM I just sent it. Wow, that's late. Gonna be quite the Monday for you!!!
And if it is not the right save, then I do not have the right save, and I shall rant and rage at my Internet Provider
Apricorn Feb 08, 2004, 08:10 PM Thankfully I have monday and tuesday off this week!
[dance]
Goober Feb 08, 2004, 08:11 PM Ohh you are lucky, I haven't had a day to myself yet . . . In a couple weeks now . . .
Apricorn Feb 08, 2004, 08:18 PM Played and sent to Vancouver
Vancouver 2010 Feb 08, 2004, 08:23 PM Signed, sealed, stamped, and stapled. ( -> wwhill )
And no, I am not the reason RealGoober is not liking Grade 12, but I am not liking it for the same reasons.
Goober Feb 09, 2004, 12:02 AM Got it. Played it. Sent it to Apricorn @ 18:52 GMT. It actually came on the same day that it was sent, amazing . . .
Vancouver 2010 Feb 09, 2004, 07:41 PM Played it. Sent it. Attached the Official Seal of Approval on it. Cursing at my teachers for giving me so much homework for this week. <rant placeholder> Etc, etc, etc.
Goober Feb 09, 2004, 07:54 PM Yes, but if we actually did our homework on the Friday, when it was assigned, instead of being lazy, and finishing a certain essay Sunday night *cough, cough*, then life might go a bit better . . .
Oh, and doing our Calculus HW when it is assigned, instead of waiting for the Weekend, also might help matteras a little bit. Mmmm . . . Massive Stack of Calculus Homework . . .
Goober Feb 11, 2004, 12:24 AM I am just wondering if we are stuck? I haven't seen a save in a couple days, and I am POSITIVE I last sent it to Apricorn, and have not received it yet from wwhill. Note the POSITIVE part of POSITIVE!!!
Vancouver 2010 Feb 11, 2004, 01:09 AM Knowing you, RealGoober, the "POSITIVE part of POSITIVE" means you are 13.7% certain that you sent it, and not just 10.3% certain.
I can definitely assure everyone that I distinctly sent my turn (which means a minimum of 63.4% certainty).
(In pre-editing hindsight, the fact that I sent my turn means that RealGoober definitely sent his last turn. But I say nothing ... wait a second ... I just did ... *shifty-eyes*)
Goober Feb 11, 2004, 09:48 AM 63.4%? C'mon, lets get serious here, you are a pathetic 40% sure at bare minimum!!!
Not, I could show everyone the E-mail I received from wwhill, AND the one I send to Apricorn, but you guys would just say, "Nah, your making it up", so there is no point . . .
And apparently I sent to Apricorn, who sends it to V2010, which would mean I sent the thing - apparently. Ohh, I'm confused *shify eye thing*
Apricorn Feb 11, 2004, 01:22 PM I sent it to Vancouver on the 9th
Vancouver 2010 Feb 11, 2004, 02:11 PM I recieved the savegame this morning. Unfortuantely, I was too tired to play it, and I had to finish up some last-minute homework, and this and that and the other... anyways, I'll play it when I get home (in about 3 hours).
Goober Feb 11, 2004, 05:20 PM Hey, I think someone was on the School's computers during Lunch - *Staring directly at V2010*.
I was just making sure it wasn't stuck . . .
Vancouver 2010 Feb 11, 2004, 06:22 PM Turn forwarded to RealGoober. (I mean really, just because I live no more than 1km away from him doesn't mean my email address looks anything like his -- and it certainly doesn't mean that I know his password!)
Goober Feb 11, 2004, 07:12 PM Password?!?! What is this strange this you call a "password"?
And ya, we live like a 8 minute walk away from each other . . .
Goober Feb 12, 2004, 10:04 AM Got it. Got time to play it. Played it. Sent it to Apricorn at 16:11 GMT
Vancouver 2010 Feb 12, 2004, 06:30 PM Turn sent.
Apricorn Feb 16, 2004, 02:21 PM We seem to be stuck. Who has the turn?
Last one I sent was to Vancouver on the 12th
wwhill Feb 16, 2004, 03:33 PM I sent min to RealGoober on the 12th a 7:56
Apricorn Feb 16, 2004, 05:02 PM Realgoober played that turn and sent it to me.
Vancouver, did you get that turn?
Apricorn Feb 16, 2004, 05:03 PM Ive resent 2950 to Vancouver
Vancouver 2010 Feb 16, 2004, 05:17 PM I haven't recieved any PBEMs since the 12th, which is the one matching my last "turn sent" post. That one appears to have been 2950 bc, so somewhere there should be 2900 bc.
Goober Feb 16, 2004, 06:10 PM I think wwhill has it. I sent it to Apricorn last at 8:06 PST (GMT-8) on the 12th, and apparently he and V2010 passed it on, so then it must be with wwhill (unless I am not receiving E-mails cause my Internet provider hates he - wouldn't be a first).
Not to lay blame, or anything . . .
Goober Feb 19, 2004, 09:42 AM Played it and sent it last night, apparently. Didn't get a save this morning, unfortunately. I do look forward to my morning PBEM's . . .
Apricorn Feb 21, 2004, 05:28 AM Who has the turn?
wwhill Feb 21, 2004, 08:05 AM I sent it out 2/18
Goober Feb 21, 2004, 11:45 AM I got it on 2/18, sent it later that night. I ain't got it.
Vancouver 2010 Feb 21, 2004, 12:47 PM AH [Warning! Extremely High Concentration of Four Letter Words Here!] !!!
I recieved it 19 Feb, I played it 19 Feb, I was pretty sure I sent it 19 Feb, but from the sounds of it, I forgot to. Unless there's something screwy happening between my email and wwhill's email.
Either way, Turn resent. (I think ...)
wwhill Feb 21, 2004, 02:02 PM I have sent it on
Goober Feb 21, 2004, 02:16 PM Sent it to Apricorn @ 20:25 GMT. I have a VERY crappy starting location, MAYBE I can squeeze 4 Cities in, but there will be overlap. I am gonna haveta take out the ottomans early. The "Restart Civ" option is not on, is it? Please tell me it isn't . . .
Vancouver 2010 Feb 21, 2004, 08:45 PM Turn sent to wwhill @ Feb 22 02:52 GMT (sending the PBEMs of today ... tomorrow!) .
I have a semicrappy starting location. Some decent land, and then it goes downhill. On the upside, that can be changed...
Goober Feb 22, 2004, 11:21 PM Have i sent this PBEM? I am not sure, memory going crappy again . . .
Apricorn Feb 23, 2004, 07:36 AM No, not received it last time I checked.
Apricorn Feb 24, 2004, 05:11 PM Do you have the turn RealGoober? Last time I received it was on the 21st.
wwhill Feb 24, 2004, 06:29 PM Apricorn,
Resend it to me. I think I did not get your email.
Goober Feb 24, 2004, 07:19 PM Ok, you can blame THIS PBEM on me. I was much too busy the past couple of days to find time to play it (sounds pathetic, I know. Few months, and I am outta school!!!). Will play and send asap.
*accepts blame*
Goober Feb 24, 2004, 11:09 PM Ok, i have sent it to Apricorn sometime soon . . .
*temperorily shrugging off blame*

Many a time, many a time. When i die, they will fine an imprint of his hand on my skull, I think . . .
I still entirely blame my ISP for not letting me get Arrogant's E-mail.
Vancouver 2010 Feb 27, 2004, 09:55 AM I always whack RealGoober. And not always in Engineering. If I don't whack him at least 5 times a day, then he's lucky.
Apricorn Feb 27, 2004, 09:59 AM RealGoober, do you ever whack VC back?

Oh, all the time. It is a little strange ritual of ours. Don't worry, I retaliate . . . "My words are back by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!!"
Vancouver 2010 Feb 27, 2004, 10:10 AM And then I whack him for saying that! Either that, or I whack the nuclear weapons... :mischief:

Dang, I have NO land, NO military, and the Ottomans coming in with one warrior. I do have gems, though, and one of the nicest city sites I have ever seen. Ain't gonna give up, no worries.

What he said, except I sent my save in a 2 for 1 PBEM combo (with Cheese!!!) to Apricorn. Well, knowing V2010's adbundant of llihs, he probably has no city sites, and is on a 1 tile island.
Vancouver 2010 Mar 04, 2004, 09:40 AM Ah yes, the rare PBEM Synchronization EMails! But they will not remain synchronized for long!
And actually, I have a reasonable start position with reasonable room to expand.
wwhill Mar 04, 2004, 10:49 AM You guys must be in a different game. I already have 6 cities and am enslaving the Romans. We are on a clear path to global domination.

I somehow doubt it. I have 3 cities, and room for one more. I am going to have to either peacefully expand - preferred option, or take out the Ottomans fast - not my preferred option. This is the Civ Elite thread I am in, I think . . .
Shaking fist at those that have a better start location then I . . .

Goober Mar 06, 2004, 11:49 AM Got it. Played it. Sent it to Apricorn @ 18:01 GMT. Sorry for the slight delay, got busy last night. Dang, I am gonna have to have an early war with the Ottomans. Archers vs. Spearmen, yuck. I shall not do well this game, not well at all. At this case, I am have a very strong feeling that I am the underdog. Stupid Ottomans.

Apricorn Mar 06, 2004, 01:47 PM Im with the Persians, though so far it is peaceful between us
Goober Mar 06, 2004, 01:57 PM Things are peaceful between the Egyptians and the Ottomans, at least until the Egyptians get a military together, that is better then a couple of warriors. The Egyptians do not want war with the Ottomans, but the Egyptians distinct lack of room is demanding a need for an early war. Fully aware of the effects of war, the Egyptiand have ordered that many legions of Arhcers, for alltack, and Spearmen, for defense, shall be build, and marched down towards the Ottoman-Egyptians border.
(I think I shall start narrating this . . .)

Go for it, always good to hear
Goober Mar 06, 2004, 07:24 PM Ok, sent it, blah blah blah.
The Egyptians have started moving their army, or what passes for one, towards the border with the potential enemy, the Ottomans, who stand in the way between Egypt, and a Glorious Empire (or so says the Official State Newspaper). These units do not have far to go, since the border is not far away since the Egyptians have a lack of land. An Ottoman warrior that has been nosing around the Egyptians land is being closely followed by an Egyptian warrior. The Egyptians also notice that there is an island within Galley distance, but Galleys are still a foreign consept to the struggling Egyptian empire. Taking out the Ottomans seems to be the easiest route, assuming that the promises of beautiful grassland beyond the Ottoman cities are true. Only time shall tell . . .
Goober Mar 09, 2004, 09:53 AM Who has the save? I have not seen it in a couple of days . . .
Apricorn Mar 13, 2004, 03:44 AM I last sent the turn to Vancouver on the 7th.
Anyone?
Goober Mar 13, 2004, 10:28 AM Got it, Playing it, Sending it. I won't be here until Tuesday, so it will inda be stalled until then. Ahh, finally a well deserved vacation . . .
Cheers, all!!!
Vancouver 2010 Mar 13, 2004, 01:09 PM wwhill asked me to resend it to him on the 10th, but that's the last I've heard about it.
Goober Mar 16, 2004, 08:14 PM Apparently I sent Apricorn the wrong turn, I re-sent it. I'm hoping it is the right one. I'm back, btw.
wwhill Mar 19, 2004, 02:09 AM Have not received it yet
Goober Mar 19, 2004, 02:36 AM Well, I send the right one a couple of days ago, and if Apricorn did not receive the right one, he hasn't responded yet, so i must therefore assume taht I send the right one . . .
I hope this ain't stalled!!!
Apricorn Mar 19, 2004, 05:20 AM I sent the turn on to Vancouver last night
Vancouver 2010 Mar 19, 2004, 12:17 PM I haven't recieved this save for at least a week and a half! And I still don't have it!!!
Apricorn Mar 19, 2004, 04:34 PM It was sent to your email yesterday - have resent it again tonight.
Vancouver 2010 Mar 19, 2004, 05:36 PM I still haven't recieved it -- try sending it to my main e-mail address (I e-mailed it to you).
Apricorn Mar 19, 2004, 09:21 PM resent to the alternative email adress.
Vancouver 2010 Mar 19, 2004, 09:24 PM OK, it's all good now.
For future turns, keep sending it to my Hotmail address, because I know immediately if I have any messages in that account (aka my Civ address), whereas the other address I actually have to open my email manager to check (that, and I get other emails through that account).
Vancouver 2010 Mar 19, 2004, 09:32 PM 2430 BC finally sent.
Stupid M$ products not working like they should be.
I'd bet $10 (ok, it's only Canadian money; not much of a bet in reality) that I'm gonna recieve those two lost saves in the morning.

Goober Mar 19, 2004, 10:35 PM *joins V2010 in that rant, well actually, has be ranting about stupid M$ products long before V2010, but that is not the point. Decides to stop babbling, and continue working on stuff*

. . . The proud Egyptian people, faced with a small empire, now have another threat. One of the sneaky devious Ottomans is right beside one of the great Egyptian Empire's great cities!!! If this Size 5 (?) city falls, this shall be a great blow to the people of Egypt. This city is undefended, and two Brave, Strong Warriors are coming to protect it. But will the Ottomans take it first? Tune in tomorrow to find out . . .
Vancouver 2010 Mar 29, 2004, 06:00 PM The Chancellor of Germany is dismayed at his current score and must change his strategy to make the most of his pathetically small piece of land, thus improving his score and making it the BEST ON THE PLANET!!! MUWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! :mischief:

Goober May 02, 2004, 01:51 AM Ya, what happened here?
It is not me, right?
wwhill May 02, 2004, 09:01 AM I sent out an email over 2 weeks ago and no one responded. I will send the game out again.
Goober May 02, 2004, 10:49 AM I sent it to Apricorn two weeks ago, after you sent it to me.
I know this since I already played that turn. Apricorn dropped out of another PBEM, maybe he dropped out of this one?
wwhill May 02, 2004, 11:42 AM see if you can find another person
Goober May 02, 2004, 07:41 PM I'll ask Rocinante, he filled in for Apricorn in another PBEM.
Goober May 02, 2004, 07:44 PM I have e-mailed Rocinante, should get a response shortly . . .
Rocinante May 03, 2004, 01:26 AM Yo, wassup?
I've never played PTW
Goober May 03, 2004, 09:45 AM But you have PTW, since you have C3C.
Uhh, ya, we just need to give you Apricorn's password, eh? I have no clue how to do that, ask wwhill.
wwhill May 03, 2004, 02:01 PM send me his email and I will set it up for him to sub.
Goober May 03, 2004, 02:07 PM I have it at home, when I get home (I'm currently at school), I send it to, hoping that I remember.
Of course, he could always give it to you . . .
Rocinante May 04, 2004, 10:15 AM just checkin' in
cranked up PTW 1.27f which seems to be the latest version so I guess I'm ready to go.

Goober May 05, 2004, 09:55 PM I would have been quite happy to have not heard the bit about the genitals, but yes . . .

Rocinante May 12, 2004, 11:34 PM Good news, 2310BC sent to Salts
