View Full Version : Chat Op Elections eyrei Jan 05, 2004, 08:17 PM This election will go on for 2 days. Please vote for one candidate. The highest two vote counts will be elected to the positions. Strider Jan 05, 2004, 08:38 PM My vote goes to CG, he's online a majority of the time and he knows most of the commands. CivGeneral Jan 05, 2004, 08:40 PM Vote for CivGeneral. I have excelent IRC skills and I am knowlagable about the IRC network itself. I am mature and impartial. I have been an op in other IRC channels including #irc-chat and #help, both of witch are offical channels. I encurage all citizens to vote for CivGeneral Bacon King Jan 05, 2004, 08:55 PM Vote for Bacon- I am mature and impartial when in a position of authority (and I doubt I'll be active enough in the DG to form a partiality anyway), I am online often, and I know how to use op commands in IRC. Bacon King Jan 05, 2004, 08:55 PM Double post.... anyway, vote for Bacon ;) Inter4 Jan 05, 2004, 10:04 PM Vote for me! :D errr...I'm not a candidate..:(..I don't know any IRC commands ...errr. anyways..vote for CivGeneral, he has a nice curriculum vitae ravensfire Jan 05, 2004, 10:18 PM Octavian - of all the options, he's by far the most knowledgable, skilled and fair of the candidates. I do not trust some of them to abuse their power should they not like the way some discussions go. I urge all citizens to carefully consider not just the skill of the candidate, but the attitude the candidate has towards others. -- Ravensfire Cheetah Jan 06, 2004, 01:49 AM Vote for me. I'm online 24/7 and active for 14 of those hours. I'm 19 years old, impartial and mature. I have good knowledge of IRC and Op commands. Give the guy whos on IRC all the time a chance! :) TerminalMan90 Jan 06, 2004, 03:00 PM Vote for CivGeneral. While he does display youthful exuberance in IRC, he seldom flaunts the rules or OP powers when he has them. I think this opportunity will mellow him somewhat and I sure he will keep a handle on his emotions. Bootstoots Jan 06, 2004, 03:35 PM Vote Bootstoots for the position of chat op. I am in the chatroom for hours on almost every day, and there are few turnchats that I would not attend. I do know the chatroom operator commands and have known them for months, and I would never abuse my power should discussion not go my way. I also was recently added to the network staff, and I may be able to help in that regard. Bill_in_PDX Jan 06, 2004, 06:38 PM I vote for Ek, though Octavian and CG are great choices as well. Cyc Jan 07, 2004, 02:15 PM I guess it's evident who the two chat ops will be. Looks like the 1 person = 1 vote concept worked again. FortyJ Jan 07, 2004, 02:18 PM I voted for Ek too. Although, I wonder if he ever got rid of those gremlins in the server room... ;) Bootstoots Jan 07, 2004, 08:52 PM Congrats, CG and Oct. Cyc Jan 08, 2004, 10:54 PM Congrats, CG and Oct. Bootstoots Jan 09, 2004, 02:53 PM Copycat. :p Bill_in_PDX Jan 09, 2004, 05:46 PM Let me add my congrats to CG and Octavian *this post made longer intentionally to try to avoid copycat label. Bootstoots Jan 29, 2004, 07:35 PM Out of curiosity, are we going to have chat op elections every term? If so, a new nomination thread should be posted. CivGeneral Jan 29, 2004, 07:52 PM Originally posted by Bootstoots Out of curiosity, are we going to have chat op elections every term? If so, a new nomination thread should be posted. Well, I am not sure if the Mods are the only ones that can do this or if they want, pass it to the Election office to do. But its eather Eyrei's or DZ's call. Donovan Zoi Jan 29, 2004, 11:00 PM This is eyrei's baby, so I'll let him have the final say. But I believe that his intent was to elect chat ops for the game and then only have elections for a vacancy(resignation, etc). eyrei Jan 30, 2004, 12:19 PM Yes, we are supposed to have a new election each term. I'll post the nomination thread now, and the election will be in two days. Sarevok Jan 30, 2004, 06:18 PM Congratulations CivGeneral |
