If I recall correctly, I saw some reference about a tool that supposedly was able to convert the old Civ 2 maps into Civ 3 BICs on a webpage when I was surfing the web a while ago.

Anyone out there who are familiar with such tool, and as to where one might download it?

Wron forum, but I can tell you that Civ3MultiTool (C3MT) contains a mapconverter.
