And if it's really the UU you are going for, and traits aren't so important, then pick you preffered trait of that civ.

It's cheap culture and less Anrachy (I think religous suffer now too but not as much, right?)

Militaristic without question. We have some heavy hitters against us in this game, so I believe we should be prepared.

Haven't played one before, but I'm going to guess that in PBEMs, ultimately it is a bloodbath at the end. :ar15: Given that, it seems like militaristic had better be one of the traits chosen.

In civ3, your most powerful resource is food. Therefore we MUST be agricultural.

Which is why we need to be built up before they hit us, as agricultural.

Scientific can give a great bounus is we get a Great leader. If we get it early on it can be used for the Great libray, and that would give us a large upper hand.

If we are on continents/pangaea, Expansionist. I don't really have much experience with MP games though...
