How good is this game? I've seen it in several places, and it looked appealing, but I didn't know what to think. How is it compared to Civ3? It looks more realistic, but basically pretty similar. Is it a good war game, or a better strategy game?

You cant really compare it to civ3. Better to compare it with other RTS games like Age of Empires, Age of Mythology or even Command and Conquer. For me RoN is the most enjoyable RTS game.

I think maybe RoN can be seen as a sort of "arcade" version of Civ.. Very fun to play, especially on multiplayer :)

Seems a lot like Warcraft2 and Starcraft to me. Of course, I've only played it for about 20 minutes on my Yahoo Games on Demand service.

Well, I should say that it looks like someone likes war/starcraft, likes Civ, and wanted to put the two together.

It's pretty good. It is more like Age of Empires more than civ 3 to me but it is still pretty good.
