As you all know, we've chosen to research math at a minimal rate. After this thirty turns of research, which tech should be next?

Mind you, since we'll be researching Math for a while, this poll is only for THE NEXT tech we research, so it isn't long term in that respect.

This poll will remain open for four days, as it's unlikely we'll have completed math over the upcoming turn chats.

It's basically impossible to make an informed decision for this poll because we don't know what can be acquired via trade. We'll actually be in a position of being able to buy the really cheap ones for cash, depending on who we meet in the next 30 turns it will take to research math.

If nothing else changes (ie, we don't meet any new civs) I would say go for writing. I would say go for writing so we can buy the cheaper first tier techs.

Ceremonial burial. We need culture (temples) to get a 20k victory closer.

currency. a nice tech to trade (we'll probably have monopoly) and acess to marketplaces, what else is there to ask for...

I say writing. We need to go writing, lit to GL wonder.

We can trade math for ceremonial burial and the weapons techs.

If we take the fast track to currency, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the benefits of trade until we traded everyone its prerequisite tech, Mathematics. We can probably get many of these techs with Math once we met someone.

With our apparent barb problems, we need to get some kind of Military in place. Therefore, I think we should head straight for Bronze Working.

Let me add that this poll assumes that we don't meet any rivals, either. A new poll will be coming in the future, in order to determine trading goals. Personally, I prefer to examine each trading possibility individually, as they can vary greatly.

As for this poll, for reasons stated above, I prefer writing.

Well I say if we get Writing then go for Liturature.

If we dont get Writing then go for Writing. Simple. :)

Currency, once we research math we will easily beable to get it, even when we trade off math to everyone else, all the other AI's normally go for writing. Currency is our best bet, by far.
