Well we had a flag for DG2 and DG3, and i think we might as well as keep the tradition alive with a flag for this game. We can display it proudly in our official maps, website and in dg government threads (enhances roleplay a bit). The great seal could reside in the presidential office or welcome center in the forum and website.

Please post suggestion here and we will vote on them after all submissions are in.

It needs pink. A sickening amount of pink for both of them. It should also have something to reflect the fact that we are Ind/Com, seeing as that is the reason for choosing this civ.

Fionn, can I see that with the two outside panels in a bright white (the brighter the better), and a gold border around the whole flag? The border should be thin (plain or braided, if it can be done).

Ok, not very beautiful, but considering you have to use pink it's a very nice flag. I'd stand in front of it to have my official picture taken, if we knew what a camera was.

I'm afraid you'd have to settle for a hand-drawn sketch on a relatively flat slab of rock.

I think it's probably that people don't necessarily dislike your flag, they were probably drawn to the elegant simplicity of Fionn's proposal.

To use this one something would have to be done to make it the right shape (width vs. height). Maybe a bar of another color on one or both sides would help.

Another option is to put the center part forward as an alternative for the seal.

Maybe we could have an adaptive sceal?

This means that we could have several sceals (one for despotism, one for republic, one for monarchy, one for democracy and one for communism) saying different things.

As an example, we might have always the same sceal but with different words on it, depending on the gov (either civ-gov or demogame government).

I'm thinkin' the same thing, Fionn. If we could dress that up as a coat of arms type seal, it would look fantastic. République Fanatica, oui. Now we have our Flag and our Seal. Let's make it official.
