Hey peeps, I was just wondering if anyone wanted to test out my SIP Mod. (Simple Improvements Mod)

Here is a list of changes...


Land Units:

All modern land units (except SAM): 1 HP bonus
Berserk: Atk 5 (down from 6)
Scout: Can clear jungle/forest/build outpost (helps ailing expansionist trait)
Guerilla/TOW: 'Stealth Attack' (can choose target, so maybe they can be more than a "poor man's infantry/mech")


Sea Units:

Transports (Galleon/Transport): -1 HP adjustment
Nuke Subs: Carry 2, def 5 (Carry 1, def 4)
Carriers: Carry 5, Air Def 2, Def 9, 1 HP bonus (previously Carry 4, Air Def 1, Def 8)
All other ships except Aegis/Cruiser/Carrier: Air Def 0


Air Units:

F-15/Stealths: 1 HP bonus


Missile Units:

ICBM: 450 shields (down from 500)


*No Global Warming (Launch all the nukes you want!)

*No "shunned" governments for any civ. (Leads to better AI relations...hopefully)

*Anarchy has "forced resettlement" when capturing cities

*Statue Of Zeus no longer requires Ivory



What do you think? If you want to try to play test it, please do and leave your comments!

*scouts no longer can build roads
*16 civs for all map sizes removed

Hey thanks! I've been lurking for years, but never had any reason to post until now. I basically made this mod, to put in some interesting elements that weren't there before. Now I just have to play-test it to see if they work. My biggest concern is that the stealth attack for the ground units wont work when there is a capturable unit in the stack. I'll know soon enough though, as I'm currently testing. ^_^

If you want nukes to fall like rain, flag them as hidden nationality. Had four different enemies through between 2 and 5 nukes at me in a turn.

Well the goal of the mod wasn't to make nukes fall like rain, but I have no doubt that would be much more fun to see, as terrain isn't effected. What I hated about nukes before, is that they had a permanent effect on the terrain, and their power isn't that strong anyway. So its an imbalanced equation. Fixing things like that was the goal of this mod. Why build TOW or guerillas at all? Ever? They serve almost no purpose besides being an upgrade placeholder. Now, with my mod, they actually have a practical use.

*edit* A new version of 1.1 has been put up. Stealth attack on ground units now works properly.
