I was making a new map...after i was done with it..well almost done, i saved it.

I came back later the same day and I opened it..well this is where the problem comes up..

Instead of the map I made it..it was all PURPLE! I tried to open another map..purple...

I restarted my computer...i opened the same map..purple...

What is wrong with the editor??

My editor works fine. I could only suggest you try reinstalling civ3 and conquests, can't really hurt at this point.

Did you try modding graphics?

Can you take a screenshot? Are you seeing purple (or is it pink?) on every tile? Or just some of the tiles? Did you mod your resources/terrain graphics? They need to be saved in a correct manner (256 colors, PCX file, and must have the correct transparency color - usually hot pink).

I attached a screen shot so you can see waht is wrong..

the color is kinda purplish pink..it has more pink in it though..

i opend the editor this night and it was find when i opened my map up..

i closed the program then opened it again and it was purple or pick whatever it is

i minimized it then i unminimized it and it was fine!!

what in the world is wrong!?!?!


P.S. - i have no mods what so ever
plus this picutre didnt kind of really turn out but it is see able

You didn't change any graphics files? This looks like the typical pallete mess up.

Those yellow diamonds come from the Landmark Terrain overlay. That's a clue, at least.

You didn't change anything? I ask because I'm seen this plenty of times when I've forgotten to set the palette correctly for modded graphics.

all i did was install the game..i didnt touch anything....
