Amesjustin Jan 20, 2004, 01:59 PM My Optimator mod has been lacking in early Naval units. Thank you SO MUCH for helping to fill it in, especially with units this good!:thanx:
Gogf Jan 20, 2004, 02:28 PM I like it, but I like the icon you used on the Galleas better. Good job though.

Or in other words: Galeass - The Director´s Cut :D
Nah, great job :)
A Viking Yeti Jan 20, 2004, 07:12 PM Wow, that is long :). Reminds me of the Spainards. Very nice!
Dom Pedro II Jan 20, 2004, 07:19 PM The length reminds you of the Spaniards?
A Viking Yeti Jan 20, 2004, 07:22 PM No, I should have made myself more clear. The sail and ship style (minus the length :)) remind me of the Spainards.
Amesjustin Jan 20, 2004, 07:34 PM Someone apparently is QUITE familiar with spaniards..... :D
TVA22 Jan 20, 2004, 07:38 PM I won't bother posting in both threads, but thanks aaglo! This rocks!:goodjob:
Gogf Jan 20, 2004, 07:42 PM Nobody agrees on the sail icons?

Yeah I guess I like the Sail Icons on the smaller unit a bit better, but not by much, and this one is still great. Seriously this one is a 9.5 while the other 9.8.
Both rock, and make me happy, and are already in Optimator.:goodjob:
A Viking Yeti Jan 20, 2004, 09:52 PM I'm actually not that familar with the Spainards, but your emoticons flatter me .

At least I don't. :p
Mobilize Jan 20, 2004, 11:47 PM EXCELLENT! Would this be the Spanish galleass replacement, or just an upgrade to it? The crosses add that Spanish motif.
Conan2002 Jan 21, 2004, 01:46 AM Very Good Unit!!!
I use it how Galeazza veneta.

Ciao
Mithadan Jan 21, 2004, 02:05 AM This is the sweetest thing, Aaglo. The only unit of yours I like better is the Cog, and that's because I requested it! :D
I always liked the longer galleass and the historically specific "sail icons" better, and now I get them both in combo! Could I be any more fortunate? Sweet cans, man.

Well, would you believe that Venetian Galleass was the other model I used to make this ship.
Amazing perception, conan
Arne Jan 21, 2004, 04:32 AM One word: Great!
(Looks very spanish. Now we need the english counterparts, then it will be possible, to have coolest looking Armada-fights. ;) :D )
bogdanSUPERIUS Jan 21, 2004, 06:18 AM I love it...Thank you,thank you,thank you...
Vasili Jan 21, 2004, 06:31 AM Great work :goodjob: it looks like an Venice ship.
locomuchacho Jan 21, 2004, 06:39 AM Thanx for this beauty!
thestonesfan Jan 21, 2004, 07:18 AM Exceptional. Were these ever built in real life? Not that it matters.
aaglo Jan 21, 2004, 08:57 AM Most certainly they were.
Well, I'm not sure about this exact ship presented in this thread, but very much similar to this. They were used between 15th and 19th centuries...
Madeira Jan 21, 2004, 09:17 AM Awesome!
R8XFT Jan 24, 2004, 01:45 AM A big thumbs up from me!! Thanks for doing both ships Aaglo.
aaglo Mar 03, 2004, 01:28 PM Update:
arrow attack included (could be used in fantasy scenarios).
Download in the 1st post.
Drift Mar 03, 2004, 01:58 PM Thanks. :)
If I had to choose my favorite of all ships available to Civ3 - Firaxis and fan made included, these two galleasses would be one of the strongest contenders for place one (along with ghost ship and english war galleon). They are graceful, stylish and menacing at the same time.
tjedge1 Mar 03, 2004, 05:44 PM :hmm: Another ship I can now use before gunpowder, thanks aaglo. :goodjob:
god_money Mar 03, 2004, 06:12 PM Your addition of the Arrow attack has inspired me to change my
entire personal mod, making the game's subtlety and variation of
possability/(replayability) much more significant... by adding a
unit (still having a unit called "Galleazza Venetia" (or something
like that) for Spain as a special superior unit
sheeps,... friend came by... I'll continue this post at a later date.
Ah... to continue where I left off, (please accept my apology):
...as a special superior unit/version of the one with only arrows
requiring saltpeter and iron in addition to lumber, which is the only
resource the arrow version requires. (it's bonus is an extra HP)
nonnob3 Mar 08, 2004, 09:37 PM I have came to a conclusion that aaglo is the #1 Naval Unit Creator in the WORLD!
AWSOME WORK MEIN GENERAL! ;)
aaglo Mar 08, 2004, 11:10 PM But I haven't made a single modern ship... :p
Perhaps you should say 'most age-disabled ship creator'.. ;)
nonnob3 Mar 09, 2004, 01:13 AM ....Perhaps you should say 'most age-disabled ship creator'
Your right buddy, ;)
I LOVE YOUR SHIPS!!!
Hikaro Takayama Mar 11, 2004, 10:29 PM Wow! This is definitely going to be a galleon/frigate replacement for my Final Fantasy mod... Although, with about half the units I'll be using, I should call it Aaglo's FF Mod (with a few rules, wonders, and bldgs by Hikaro Takayama:lol: )
I just love your stuff, man:goodjob:
