View Full Version : Term 2 - Elections for Minister of Foreign Affairs Bootstoots Jan 27, 2004, 06:01 PM Please vote Bootstoots, Fier Canadien, Furiey, or Abstain. This poll will be open for 72 hours, until one day prior to the end of the month GMT. Yours, The Election Office Donovan Zoi Jan 27, 2004, 06:10 PM For our second term, I would like to see an elevation of status for some of our new citizens that have made significant contributions to our nation. Although there are three great candidates here, I choose to support Furiey in this election for the above reason. :) Cyc Jan 27, 2004, 06:23 PM Go Boots! Bootstoots Jan 27, 2004, 06:24 PM I encourage the citizens of Fanatica to vote Bootstoots as their next FA minister. I have held this position for two terms last game and I never missed an instruction. I was FA leader during the second Egyptian war and the beginnings of the world war then, and feel that I was and continue to be a very capable candidate. Vote Bootstoots! Strider Jan 27, 2004, 06:32 PM I support Fier in this role, I believe he can do it, and deserves the poistion. Paalikles Jan 27, 2004, 06:36 PM We needeth fresh blood :vampire: Difficult choice, all interesting candidates, but the newcomer got my vote :D CivGeneral Jan 27, 2004, 07:01 PM I voted for Bootstoots Sarevok Jan 27, 2004, 07:16 PM I support Bootstoots as well, (even though he dosent support me for Def. Thanks, but I don't think i'll have the occasion to have a elected position until term 3 or 4. Strider Jan 28, 2004, 04:03 PM Originally posted by Fier Canadien Thanks, but I don't think i'll have the occasion to have a elected position until term 3 or 4. Then were going to have to try again, now won't we? Furiey Jan 28, 2004, 04:51 PM Well I can’t claim a long and distinguished record in this position – it’ll be my first time as an elected official. I don’t believe I’ll always have all the answers either. So what I will do is consult everyone. I will aim to present our situation with our friends, neighbours and enemies to enable us to discuss and decide our approach for the future. I will be looking for citizen input all along the way and will certainly not turn down helpful suggestions. We may not have met many “friends” yet, but we soon will - I will do my best to ensure that we are ready for both the opportunities and threats that this will bring. After all – I also have to maintain my unblemished record for posting instructions on time – as I’ve not done it before I’ve not missed one yet! Vote Furiey to bring new blood to the demogame. PS: I’ll try not to bleed all over the forums! Bootstoots Jan 30, 2004, 06:09 PM Well, it looks like I won this election. I thank my supporters and would also like to congratulate Furiey on a very strong second place finish. Furiey, if you'd like the FA deputyship, I'll appoint you to it. :) Furiey Jan 30, 2004, 06:10 PM Congratulations Bootstoots! I know you'll make a fine FA Minister. edit (just beaten to the post button) Thanks Boots - I didn't expect it to be so close. I would be happy to be your deputy. Thanks to everyone who voted for me! Sarevok Jan 30, 2004, 06:16 PM Congratulations Boots! ravensfire Jan 30, 2004, 10:19 PM Congrats Boots on a great election. Furiey - you ran a great race! Next term perhaps... Until then, remember there are mayorships that will become available, deputy positions and perhaps others. Again, sorry to lose you from the Court Boots, but it is indeed a pleasure to see you as head moron, err, Minister of Foreign affairs! ;) -- Ravensfire |
