Surprisingly given that Babylon is one of our known adversaries, we're still even in culture.

DaveShack Jan 31, 2004, 12:18 AM List of cities outside any provinces, thus under IA ministry control.
Plexus Jan 31, 2004, 12:41 AM Greetings from the governor's office. I hope that we can have a productive term of cooperation. :)
donsig Jan 31, 2004, 02:07 PM I call our Internal Affairs Minister's attention to this post (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=1561622#post1561622) in the term 2 judiciary thread concerning recent IA instructions.
DaveShack Feb 01, 2004, 02:09 AM A poll to determine the borders of Berry province (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77340) has been created.
A settlement locations poll (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77341) has also been created.
Chieftess Feb 01, 2004, 08:33 AM I request for the great desert to our north to have a name. (also with the southern jungle once we see all the borders). I'm planning to hold a camel race around the desert.

Black_Hole Feb 01, 2004, 11:07 AM a camel race???
Stuck_as_a_Mac Feb 01, 2004, 12:02 PM Ooo... camel racing... got scripts, ct? Is it a rehash of the Golden Bluf DG2 boat racing one?
I could do some sorta odd camel...
*walks off thinking*

If only mIRC could do the subset character... (double hump for the camel)... But, yes, it uses the same engine. However, I may mimic the borders this time. (that would be trickier, though...) Oh, and no gale force winds this time. ;) Just sandstorms...
Also, if that coast by Vo Mimbre turns out to be a huge bay (or a huge lake), the Tiberon City Sea Tour would be renamed slightly. ;)
In fact, I'm hoping we have horses for another type of race. (So you can pick between a sturdy animal that braves the elements, but hates the heat, or, an animal that enjoys the heat, but hates the elements -- camels don't like sandstorms I hear).
Sarevok Feb 02, 2004, 12:41 AM I would take that desert area slowly but surely, the yellow we see in the north might make ships and make a landing that we will have to eliminate. Also... theres oil later ;)
Rik Meleet Feb 02, 2004, 02:06 AM Camel race ? Throught the desert, past the mountains ? Circulair track ? Do you know what that means ?
Boonta Eve Classic !!!!.
I am going to train my 2-camel-pod.
Plexus Feb 02, 2004, 02:51 AM How about "Désert de Chameau"?
Chieftess Feb 02, 2004, 08:42 AM Boonta Eve Classic?
EDIT: Just searched. The Starwars Pod Race.
(And no, there won't be a Mara Jade racer, CG. :p)
DaveShack Feb 04, 2004, 01:26 AM Camel racing, how exciting... I guess the naming right for the desert falls to me because there is no governor? I'm open to suggestions as long as they aren't too outlandish... :)

RoddyVR Feb 12, 2004, 06:46 PM i have been told that this office is responsible for giving instructions to engeneers and workers. As mayor of Vo Mimbre, i would like to ask that during the comming chatturn a worker be sent to irrigate (and road maybe?) another one of Vo Mimbre's Plains.
As the city stands now, it will grow in seven turns and have only an unworked plain to assign the new laborer.
The city has no potential for fast growth so building a worker (or settler here) would hurt the city prety bad, but we are prety good at producing vast amounts of well trained soldeirs (well, maybe not WELL trained, but trained none the less).
Assuming that atleast one spearman stays to defend our city, we can handle growing to size 6 (two more laborers) once Dyes is connected without suffering happiness problems. so it would be VERY nice to have a decent place to assign the laborers to.
Thank you for your consideration in the matter.
Mayor Roddy of Vo Mimbre.
Chieftess Feb 12, 2004, 09:10 PM Since that city will stop at size 6 (we don't have aqueducts yet), I'd rather have 1 or 2 plains mined, that way, it's not wasting 2 food.

OK, I gotta know, what graphics package produced that screenshot! I knew it was possible to overlay the static parts of this page with different images, but have never seen it taken this far before. :D
Thanks for posting it. As many may have surmised from some previous posts, I have not been having a good month with regard to free time, and appreciate the effort others have put into citizen input. :goodjob:

Well, that much was obvious... :p
Care to enlighten me on which one? :)
CivGeneral Feb 20, 2004, 12:10 AM @Dave - Mainly I am using the Imperial Napoleonic Advisor pack by Bebro, Civ2 Icons, and the Greek-Roman Theamed City and main interface.
Anyway. I wish to recomend that Groton should move one of its citizen onto working on the iron as shown in this Screenshot.

By doing as the proposed screenshot above. We would get in more shields and thus makes all contruction of units and Improvements go faster.

Either micromanage to produce workers and settlers the same turn the pop growth, or (much better) do as I propossed and switch production with our neighboring city: let them build worker, we build unit! :goodjob:
Sarevok Feb 25, 2004, 05:07 PM Minister Daveshack,
As you are the minister of the interior, I am now approacing to convince you to allocate some of our gold to upgrading a few of our warriors (5, mabye 10 of them for now). The Ministry of Defense is getting increasingly worried that Babylon may launch a sneak-attack soon, and I want to make sure that our armed forces can meet the challenge.
- Sarevok
Furiey Feb 25, 2004, 05:21 PM Sarevok - you need to ask the Senate to approve the gold, they will have to hold a vote on it.
Sarevok Feb 25, 2004, 05:28 PM ahh yes... ill give them this note.
Civanator Feb 28, 2004, 12:44 PM Reminder to post instructions in the turn chat thread, about 6 and a hlaf hours till the chat.
