View Full Version : last AI settler's city gives units bug

As u know, the computer gets many free units at the start of a deity game. That's fine.

I now had a game, where a Spanish settler and a phalanx were on the move, with no other cities for the Spanish, just units (other AI still existed).

The settler built a city (which I planned to destroy), and out of that city popped out all the starting units (with current tech!).
This is very like respawning AI player, but it was Spanish! :crazyeye:

If u ask - no, "respawning AI" was OFF!
Had I killed the Spanish I would have :
a. got the message that they were eliminated.
b. wouldn't see the old spanish troops going to their new city, but disappear.
c. wouldn't be able to talk to the.. Spanish!

This is a respawn glitch into the last settler of an AI player.
....Do u think there will ever be a fix?
........Did anyone experience this before?

Do you have a .sav file anyone can look at?

no, I don't :cry:
I had a good game and I shift+ctrl+q after the Spanish were reborn.. because I was MAD !
But I'm sure it can be easily recreated.

Yes, I was standing next to a lone settler and warror. I killed their last city. The next turn they built a city w/ the settler. A artcher came out. It also had 3 spearman, a worker, and a settle,
