not far into the game, too much homework. But I mange to dominate by 1700 in all aspects :)
As John of Arc, I share my content with China(toughest), Russia, German, and England(weakeset). Roman, Greeks, and Japan were on a lesser content.
Lost my cool with the English in around 1000, wiped them out.
I don't know, I think I cheated the AI. During the war, I took some of the cities, they then demand for peace. I put down everything on the bargaining table except cities, including right of passage. Because of right of passage, I'm able to station a huge force right outside of big cities, and you know what happen when the right of passage treaty ends:p
done that to German, and later Russia. During my war with Russia, China declared war on me out of blue!
They were slightly more technologically advance, had a high productive force, and I had 90% of my force in Russia with my people revolting everywhere cause a democratic country wasn't suppose to being a war for that long:D
Luck for me, my workers(100+) were STARTING to lay down railways and I was just in time to transfer a small force to defend border line cities. That buy me enough time for ALL my troops to pull out from Russia. Then the war on borderline was fought for 6 turns(that's a long time). Finally I push them back to their own border and began the invasion of Beijing which lied only 8 squares from my border. It was as tough as it could be. They had reinforcement from others just about every term and I lost around 60+ units(cavarily)(1/2 of my arm units) in the battle and gained 5 leaders. After Beijing fell it was the conquest was much eaiser, cause my troops was right in their transportation field. Split my force in 3 and my "princer movement" razed through the rest Chinese cities:D.
Now I have the whole content all by myself. Building up my navy and naval transportation force and will begin a D-day after I have a carrier force:D
and after the battle I had just as much units as before, cause I have many highly productive bases. Would had more if there wasn't civil order.
Before the war I was in a golden age with +100 golds per term, as soon as the golden age ended I had -4, that was amazing....
