During the civ3 installation, I routinely get one or more errors saying that some file or other does not match that found in the cabinet on the CD. It then tells me that the CD may be corrupted, in which case I should contact the program vendor. I have three options, abort, retry, or ignore. Most of the time, retrying seems to work fine, but sometimes I am forced to ignore (specifically with the files "workerirrigate.flc" and "workerjungle.flc").

I have installed the game several times on both of my hard drives. Sometimes after installing I cannot play at all because the game crashes with an invalid page fault on execution. Other times the game works decently for a certain amount of time before again giving an invalid page fault. What is the problem? Is my CD corrupted? Is there anything I can do?

I am running a Pentium III 1000 MHz with a Riva TNT2 M64 3D accelerator and a Creative Labs PC-DVD dxr2 as the CD drive.
