If dogboy doesnt have the save yet, then i assume it must lie with magog, since forceman has told me he recieved it and sent it on.

i have already sent it a few hours ago, i am sorry guys, i have had my comp upgraded and they kept it a little longer than expected + i was away for the weekend. terribly sorry. with the upgraded comp from now on i should be able to play and pass on my saves about 5 seconds faster. so that is the good news. thanks for patience.

Unfortunately when you got your computer upgraded, they didn't upgrade my starting position. I'm still on the same icy rock :mad:

I have little tundra but I do have plenty of desert.

Though playing an agricultural civ did a good job of reducing that problem :D

This whole game idea with alliances is quite cool, one of my favourite games atm

As Dogboy gets the Sav from Magog, Magog must have held it for three days without any announcement of going away. Or am I mistaken.

@ Kaboth: That would be my guess. It looked like it was sent to him on the 26th and I didn't leave until the 29th. I came back on the 30th and the save still wasn't in my box. I didn't get it until June 1st.

8 days since I last played a turn and theres 8 players is everybody playing slow or is someone holding this great game up?

Arrogant in case Fanste didn't notify you he ceased playing and has forwarded his most recent sav to a friend Specky who will be playing for him from now on. I've just emailed him with a sav in case he hasn't played it yet, though Fanste said he had forwarded it to him.

I'm not even sure he's a member here all I found was a Speck9 under members (who hasn't posted since last year), perhaps he has a different civ fanatics alias.

Fanste quit in another PBEM and Specky took his place. The game has been going much faster since then, sometimes getting two turns a day. So I know Specky is a reliable player.

Yeah, I got my last turn 10 days ago. Was Fanste the hold-up then?

It's possible he never forwarded the sav as promised or perhaps I misinterpreted Fanste. Nevertheless I have sent the sav again to Specky and if he's a reliable player I'm sure he'll pick up the slack.

Where's Arrogant these days he seems to pay very little attention to the progress of his own game?

I think Arrogant must be very busy. It's been like that in all the games that he has hosted.

Hi Specky, I only gave you that address from the 2nd page of this thread who I believed Fanste was sending the savs to back then but it seems I made a mistake it is indeed micmic1431968@hotmail.com that you should be sending to. That is Arrogant the host of this game which is worrying.

ive sent it to micmic again so he should have three copies of it now. lol
anyway if he is still alive the pbem should be up and going again soon

I'm back! The save wasn't in my box. Who has the save? We were doing so good with this game and then all of a sudden it just stopped. What's the deal?

Well, I just got the save. Glad to see this game is still going, albeit slowly. If whoever has been holding the game up will just play their turn (like they promised when they signed up for this game), then we will get this game going again at a steady pace.

I got mine on the 29th.

I'll be on vacation from the 12th to the 27th. I could try to find a stand-in if you can't wait, but since the game's been going quite slowly, I guess you can :)

We should change the name of this game from "Lost at Sea" to "Lost in the E-mail". This is utterly pathetic. If this continues I'm going to drop from this game.

I like this game, it has an interesting theme but it seems to keep getting held up somewhere by someone any chance of identifying a culprit who is consistantly doing so or is it several people?

Arrogant seems to pay little notice to this thread either.

Personally I've vowed never to play 8 player pbems again. 4 players seems to be nice.

Well, to get the game going again the game host needs to find out who sent the last save. If that doesn't work, then he needs to send his last save and everybody should post here when they send the game. Then when the game stalls, we will know who it is. After the game host boots that person, we can go back to playing without posting "gps" here every time.

I sent mine to Magog on the 27th.

This game is over for me. It has been too long between turns. The host has done nothing that I know of to get the game going again. If the turn comes to me again I'm not playing it. If the host wants to find a replacement for me, go ahead. This is a real shame because this could have been a real fun game.

Well when Fanste quitted the host paid no interest so if your quiting Dogboy I doubt he will either. And seeing I'm sure Dogboy is not going to recommend anyone take his position in this game, it would seem the whole game will come to a standstill if it hasn't already.

So I think I may take my leave also, to those of you who've played this game faithfully I hope to see you in another game sometime.
