View Full Version : Puzzle for IQ > 250
GenghisK Feb 17, 2004, 07:39 PM You have always thought you were a genius, a Sherlock Holmes Jr. eh? Well take a test (http://www.datacraft.co.jp/takagism/index_e.html) and we shall see if you're as smart as you think you are.
FYI, it took me 15~20 mins! GRrr, that was diabolically well designed. Really nice riddle.
CivCube Feb 17, 2004, 07:47 PM I wouldn't call that a genius' puzzle, I call that a normal puzzle for an adventure game. ;)
Perfection Feb 17, 2004, 08:06 PM Pretty good puzzle.
cgannon64 Feb 17, 2004, 08:29 PM I like the blatent ad for HMV and the grammar.
"There is no strange thing."
Gainy Feb 18, 2004, 10:57 AM I am utterly confuzzled. If someone could PM me as to how to do it then i'd be grateful :) -- note: I think i'm quite far on...
Gengis Khan Feb 18, 2004, 11:02 AM how far did you get? I gave up after searching for the battery.
Gainy Feb 18, 2004, 11:13 AM That's where I got too... I get the feeling that that has nothing to do with it though, it's probably something really simple...
Edit: Not that that was hard ;)
Edit2: I think i'll stick another "That" in for good measure :)
Comraddict Feb 18, 2004, 06:22 PM below table with cd
bellow pillow and 2nd thing bellow pillow and between frame and matress
on window
etc...
I did it :)
KaNick Feb 19, 2004, 01:57 AM Battery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gainy Feb 19, 2004, 10:23 AM After spending about 15 mins on it, i'm convinced that it's impossible, and whoever made it is taking the piss
Comraddict (or anyone else), if you really can do it, please PM me and tell how...
Edit: Well ok, i've found the battery. But now i'm even more confused...
Final Edit: Never mind. That has nothing to do with intelligence btw, just persistance ;)
nonconformist Feb 19, 2004, 10:59 AM I had to look it up on another forum!
Ville Feb 19, 2004, 12:29 PM Let me out :D
EDIT: I found battery :D
Is there something in that empty wall
Syterion Feb 19, 2004, 01:52 PM I don't see how this is a puzzle. It is merely a game where you search every corner and then you win. It's not like it takes intelligence to notice the battery is missing from the cassette player.
Comraddict Feb 19, 2004, 06:40 PM alright, simply, you got box, you need two rings, and thing that goes to third hole on box. box will open, now you need one battery and tape to watch. during show, watch carefully...
you exit with screwdriver (as a proof I did it :) )
empty wall has CRUCIAL purpose.
enough?
Comraddict Feb 19, 2004, 06:41 PM double post
CivCube Feb 19, 2004, 06:59 PM The problem isn't that it's hard, it's just so freakin' impossible to click the ridiculously small hotspots.
KaNick Feb 19, 2004, 10:49 PM Where the hell is the battery!?
Comraddict Feb 19, 2004, 10:53 PM in room.
nonconformist Feb 20, 2004, 03:48 AM Yeah, Civcube I agree, the hotspots are ridiculously small and you need to know exactly where to click.
Gainy Feb 20, 2004, 10:09 AM enough?Comraddict (or anyone else), if you really can do it, please PM me and tell how...
Edit: Well ok, i've found the battery. But now i'm even more confused...
Final Edit: Never mind.
:p
Grandmasta, it's at the foot/bottom of the bed. Kinda behing the matress.
Syterion Feb 20, 2004, 11:19 AM If you thought the battery was hard, wait till you get to the numbers...:D

That's the metal rod. Curse you, this is not a puzzle it is an attempt to drive the non observant insane I say!
Gainy Feb 20, 2004, 03:20 PM If you don't want to know where the Battery is, look away now ;) You have misunderstood. I said at the bottom of the bed, meaning the opposite end from where the metal rod is. Look at the blank wall, and move the cursor directly under where the pillar is on the left hand side, well... not directly, as close to the bottom of the screen that you can go, and about an inch away from the left hand side. Click there, and it will whisk you round to a side view of the bed. The battery will be there :)
And Syterion, there's an easier way to do the numbers rather than just guessing :p
Edit: Yerp, it makes it blatantly obvious
Comraddict Feb 20, 2004, 10:38 PM yeah, ever looked at that URL?
Syterion Feb 21, 2004, 11:36 AM I know you weren't supposed to guess, it just took me a long time to figure out why. Maybe that part was easy to you people. At least I had already gotten it.
Plexus Feb 22, 2004, 03:59 AM Alright, finally finished... took me 30 minutes, I couldn't find the metal rod.
the mormegil Feb 22, 2004, 12:01 PM How the **** do you work out the numbers?
Pontiuth Pilate Feb 22, 2004, 07:04 PM EDIT: Aha! Never mind, I was neglecting the cassette player ;) I escaped...
If you're stuck on the numbers, visit the URL. If it doesn't work, here's what the URL says:
Takagism since 1994
the mormegil Feb 23, 2004, 11:55 AM Ah, I see, thanks.
philippe Feb 23, 2004, 12:22 PM damn stupid 2nd ring hard but its fun
nivi Feb 24, 2004, 07:36 AM Where is that damn 2nd ring?
the mormegil Feb 24, 2004, 10:51 AM Do you want to be told?
If you do: In the curtain, you need to click the curtain a few times in a row for it to fall out.
Ville Feb 24, 2004, 12:16 PM I watched the cassette, then what
the mormegil Feb 24, 2004, 01:03 PM Watch it carefully, near the end the dancing guy shows you where to click.
Ville Feb 24, 2004, 02:03 PM I noticed that but where to click?
the mormegil Feb 24, 2004, 02:11 PM Put the finger of the pointer over the point. Wait till the film finishes then click that point. It may take a couple of clicks.
Ville Feb 25, 2004, 01:53 AM Ah, finally escaped:D
GenghisK Mar 02, 2004, 05:29 AM Another game like this one.
