Anyone know any games simular to Runescape and such?

I used to know an online game called 1000AD, which is a cross between Colonization and Civ2. Can't recall its url offhand but Googling should get one there.

GenghisK, I tried dowloading MUonline but the download takes WAY TOO LONG, and I have DSL and a new computer.

it's normal, the ftp is in Korea, and is quite overloaded, try getting it (67meg) when the Koreans are sleeping :)
Some screenshots of the sad slaughtery that occured last night. Invasion of Lorencia by a Golden Dragon. Not a baby gold dragon as usual, but a mother queen... It killed so many very high level (50+) in one tail whip. I died twice trying to take screenshots for you..

Genghis I just started playing MU and I find it a little confusing, I've managed to kill spiders and some kind of small dragons ifront of the south gate, where do I go from here?

You have the maps of all the worlds and all the monsters. Make sure you don't go fight bulls at your level ;)
Maybe I'll play a party with you so you can level up quite quickly.
Otherwise, check the official website documentation. Pretty useful.

I have just downloaded a game called PrestonTale. Have you played this game Genghis, if you have how is it? How does it compare to MU?

From all those I played, Biosfear has become a paid game. Dofus and Mu are my favorites...

Well Mu Online looks awesome but the damn download keeps timing out. The game server better be more reliable than the download server. Isn't there another site that has the file hosted?

It's normal their ftp is damn slow. There are so many people getting the game.. You should try when the Koreans are sleeping ;)
I downloaded it at 6k/s :(
But the 2 gateways (each gateway having 6 independant servers) are fine. They can hold a lot of people.

Damn strange thing, I had been trying to download with my default browser (Opera) and it started at 6k/s went upto 8k/s then kept timing out making me have to click on the resume button. Then I decided to try with IE and I downloaded it at over 100k/s, so if anyone else is having trouble you may try that. Seems pretty good so far despite the Engrish, also saw a Gold Budge Dragon which killed me in 1 hit. Then again I was only level 3...

Lol! Forgot to tell you. Whenever you see a golden dragon, flee! A baby golden budge needs a level 60+ to kill it. But... A Queen golden dragon takes half of the screen and.. Well guess a pic is worth all the words... All the people you can see are over lvl30 and lot of them died.

Btw, make sure you play on the Maya gateway. Not wigle. While you can use any of your characters in any server within a same gateway, you won't be able to use them on the other gateway. I'm having all my PC on Maya so if you want to play with me, you should rather play and build your Dark wizard on Maya.
