I just bought a headset and chatted for the first time with it. (Quite embarassing. :o) But I heard myself which was very annoying and distracting. Does anyone know how to get rid of that?

I tried muting myself with MSN itself, but then the other doesn't hear me, and when I mute the microphone in Volume Control I still hear myself and so does the other. :confused:

The echo is what the other hears, by the way. So with some delay.

What (s)he says to you will come out your speakers, into your microphone, and then back over to him/her, thus creating the echo effect :) It's not really a bug or whatever, just an annoyance...
