So far Civ1 was the only game that stuck me till 6am every night. No other game did, even not civ2 nor war3 nor anything. Oh now, KotOR is the second one?

I second that, no other football manager game comes close.

If you use the criterion of "stuck longest with" it'd have to be Civ2. Mostly TBS games anyway.

for the most part, I utterlyl despsie RPGs, however, the ONLY series that has ever gotten me to love it (or like it really) would be the avernum series, in specific, Avernum 3 is my favorite, though 1 & 2 are cool, actually, i would rank them in reverse order in terms of my favorite, as 3 is my fav, followed by 2, with 1 as my least favorite I suggest to everyone that they at least download the demo from spidweb.com

Starcraft is the best RTS ever, and Civ2 the best TBS. (Those are the two games I like most, too.) No clue what to put in any other genre, since I mostly play strategy games.

Operation Flashpoint is the best game that has yet been made. For any one who doesn't know, it's a modern war game that's a cross between a FPS & a squad based strategy. The maps are not mazes, like the ones in such gams as MoH, Halo & Call of Duty, they're small island of around a hundred square kilometers of land, scattered with towns. There's Three official campaign, a couple of dozen official single missions, a hundred or so official units and an unlimited amount of free third party units, missions, campaigns & maps. And Just because the third party stuff is free and, well, third party, doesn't mean it's lesser quality than the official stuff. There are alot of very talented addon makers for this game

Fallout 1,2 & tactics are the best RPGs.

The best RTS would have had to have been Total Annihilation, but I haven't played it for ages.
