View Full Version : The battle log: on or off?
Ankka Feb 27, 2004, 07:19 AM So, this is being polled @the UN for 3 days, so I set this timer to 2 days.
Options:
1) No log at all
2) Log battles and send to admins
3) Log battles and send to attacked opponent and admins
4) Log everything and send to admins
Please vote and comment ASAP.
Cheetah Feb 27, 2004, 07:28 AM Hm. Any logging will make the playing more timeconsuming for the player.
Logging everything is out of the question.
If combat are to be logged, logs should be sent to the admins. But is the any point in sending or not sending the logs to the opponent?
I think we shouldn't log. But I won't vote yet.
Ankka Feb 27, 2004, 08:04 AM I agree with you on that.
BTW, there was a poll on loggin everything at the UN, and I voted for CFC NO without polling it here. I hope I did right. Seem slike I did, judging on your answer. :)
Ankka Feb 28, 2004, 12:18 AM I voted for battle log to admins.
Ankka Feb 28, 2004, 12:21 AM Seems like that option is winning...
Zarn Feb 28, 2004, 12:28 AM I said log everything to be a rebel, because I knew no one else would pick it. :p
Ankka Feb 28, 2004, 10:48 AM
Well, what option should I vote for @ the UN? It is a tie...
Zarn Feb 28, 2004, 11:31 AM Log battles and send to admin would be best (stupid rebelious feelings).
deshelbr Feb 28, 2004, 12:49 PM I voted to not log at all because I don't think it is going to accomplish the objective of preventing suspicion of cheating between teams and it will be a hassel. But in the interest of stopping an impasse I will gladly change my vote to Admin only.
Ankka Feb 28, 2004, 01:23 PM There has been discussion about a minilog at the UN, not quite sure what it excectly is, though. AFAIK it is so, that you only need to post a screenie of your civ to the admins... check for yourself to be sure, though.
Donovan Zoi Feb 28, 2004, 08:29 PM Well, all the votes seem to be in except ours. Unfortunately, I voted "Battle to admins only" for the tie, when I really would have voted to send the log to our opponents as well.
If deshelbr changes his vote as pledged, we will be able to submit "Battle to admins only" as our official stance. If we submit "No log at all" we will be the only ones doing so , and may be seen as out of touch by the others. :)
Does this sound reasonable?
deshelbr Feb 29, 2004, 06:27 AM I think Zarn's declaration of his second choice would give it the majority. That would mean in a run-off the second option would win. I don't think you are going to encounter any major opposition on this point.
Ankka Feb 29, 2004, 10:27 AM So, I voted for option #2 at the UN.
