I am thinking of buying C3C besides vanilla civ, but i wonder if it is possible to install C3C and still keep a functioning "old" version of Civ3.
Is it just a matter of installing the programs in different folders or is it more complicated.

C3C will install itself in a subdirectory of the CivIII directory, and won't affect the standard game at all.
All you have to do to switch between vanilla CivIII and C3C is to put in the correct CD.
