This is not a report, just some results.

It's Large Continent - I usually play Pangea.

This game has been extremely smooth. Several key points:
1. Expansion is fast due to Sumeria's cheap UU - fast produced without a too shabby defense.
2. iron and horses nearby - I could focus on infra instead of worrying about defense.
3. early contact with almost all civs - Continent certainly plays a role here.

The end result is I take the tech lead by end of ancient ages, and built Great Library and all other post-ancient wonders except Sun Tzu's and Sistine. In Industrial Ages I sell techs to other AIs and get like 800-1000 gpt from them, which totally cripples their research. So when I get into Modern Ages, they are still lacking Corporation and Atomic Theory.

I had 3 wars (all being declared on), and eliminated Korea and China. Generous trading makes everybody (except Persia *) polite in the end - I couldn't get anyone into Gracious even by gifting 10 techs - should I split this up into multiple gifts?

Got two scientific leaders during the game, and one rushed Smith's the other UN.

Guess I'll try a demigod game sometime soon..btw I've been looking to join a SG (Emperor preferred but Monarch variant will do too), so if anyone wants to open one please let me know..

(*) The reason Persia isn't happy with me is kinda silly - it was almost killed by China, so I gifted him iron and put 8 cavs to block his border. Somehow the route got cut by China and stupid Persia turned furious with me. WTF..

Good job! I've never had a diplomatic win... I think there is too much just involved.

On the SG, I say start your own, Mic1 ;). I'd join (I might be forced to skip the first week, because of work in RL, and then I'm away for a week, but then I'll be back! :).

It's actually faster than military wins, but it does indeed require some planning from the beginning - basically more trading and less warring. I intentionally avoided wars (but once somebody dares to declare, I'd eliminate him since I don't want anyone left to be furious with me :D) and kept rep very clean.

I will do this later (yes the name is good :D), but since I've never been in any SG before, I'd like to play a couple before I host it myself.

Wow, it's been a wonderful game!!! ;)
Congratulations!

i still have problems in Monarch level, but I've won with very good scores in 5 times.
And Sumeria should be one of the coolest civs, I like Gilgamesh's epic and the traits. The UU is useful, I think, to expand fastly.
