Yes thats what I was thinking too, probably replace BeBro's Imperial Legio with this one as its got the worker animations, but keep his Early and Late Legios for my early Legionary units.

Nice unit sir, thanks for your hard work!

 That would be so amazing. There is a need for more diverse armies. Too bad no one made a african type one yet. I could use one of those and an arabian one too. Actually I need all kinds of these so I'll just stop there and say great idea Kinboat, I look forward to the army version.

You can have different buildable armies, AFAIK, but that's it.

I wasn't aware, but not surprised. That wouldn't be a problem. That situation makes it more like the Last Samurai type leader for army, but when the nation can build their own they teach their own. So it would still be cool to have more variety. I would use it still.

Make it a Medieval Infantry replacement, or put it at Construction, or Engineering.

I actually put all the Legions made in one game, and it is kinda difficult to use them all (Firaxis' Legionary, BeBro's Early, Late, and Imperial Legios, Utahjazz's Heavy Legionary, and Kinboats Legion).

Mar 18, 2004, 11:15 AM
ok sorry to ask again kinboat, but whens the standard gonna be done :D i cant wait to get it

Mar 18, 2004, 11:25 AM
Actually, if you want to save yourself some trouble, you could just make one flc of the Standard Bearer to use as the fortify flc of this Legion. Might be more useful in a regular game, to boot.

Just a thought. I do the same sort of thing with Steph's converted units. There are some GREAT flag units, but I couldn't find any use for them. Finally, I got the idea to just use the run.flc's and the fortify.flc's with regular combat units. Works and looks great in-game.

I persoanlly made the firaxis legion into asort of renaissance infantryman, as has the feel about him IMO- this new legion replaces the origional legionary

Same here... :D

But I have also managed to insert the MF Legionary naming it in my "600 units mod"... :crazyeye:

In my mod, all Civilizations has flavour units for each era. In which I believe the game should be.

It has taken me a year or more to make "PERFECT" this game, and as soon as I think it's finally done,...another GREAT unit is created! :p

.... I LOVE THIS GAME!

Good question :)

Well, I came upon that problem and solved it with one of Steph's Converted units.
It is a Horseman that looks like a Zulu (dark skinned) unit in the game.

My "Perfect Mod" is very compless, and the file size is over 1GB!

I must have been brain-dead when this came out cuz I don't have it in me mod. Costruction-tech upgrade for the legionary, and with the rise of rome legionary in place, it provides a flaw-less transition.

This is the best legion I've seen for the game. I almost want to put this into my vietnam war mod.

Dont laugh but how do you get this into the game? I have never added new units or changed anything about a game before so Ihave seriously no idea. Is it a new unit completly like will it be an addition or does it replace the previous one can someone point me in the right direction give me a kick in the ass and send me on my way.

Go to the top of the page in this (the units) sub-forum. There you will find several tutorials on how to add units.

--edit--

Here is a link:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=31576
also, all of my units (and I believe other graphics as well) all include mini-tutorials on how to add them to the game.
