Mobilize Mar 06, 2004, 12:13 PM Can we have some more information on this mod.. like what civs it includes, what techs, units, etc. it also includes?
Spartakus Mar 08, 2004, 02:59 AM to Bombur:
sorry for the problem. I first made my new version Shock The World 2.0. I added a lot of things (almost all of them were taken on the web), including wonders. I gave specifical flavor to many of them, but I found that the AI doesn't give a f*%k about buildings' flavor: look here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75875)
So I made another version 2.1: in this one every group of civilization start with a specific, non-tradable tech. In this way some tech appears to someone and others to someone else.
Now, Bombur: the link with zipped version 2.1 gives you everything, except the biq file. If you want to play version 2.0 (which gives you a great amount of wonder... perhaps too easy!), you must download the small zip file 2.0, substitute the civilopedia file in the STW folder, and rename this folder exactly as the biq (in this case, Shock The World2.0). If you want to play version 2.1, you do not have to change nothing, just wait a little 'til i upload the 2.1 biq file.
Tonight or tomorrow i will start to give details of the mod.
Now just the description of the preview (from left to right):
Lenin of the Russian
Red Guard
Biplane
Labour Union (small wonder - splash)
Israeli Colonist
Terrorist
Zheng He's voyage (asian great wonder - splash)
Special Corthouse (fascist-gov small wonder - splash)

Rama of the Siamese

Spartakus Mar 13, 2004, 09:02 AM Here (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads6/ShockTheWorld2.1.zip) you can downolad the biq file for version 2.1 (be sure biq and folder name to match!). Now some details...

Mihai of the ROUMANIANS (christian)
Lenin of the RUSSIAN (christian)
Gustav of the Swedish (christian)
Stephan of the MAGYARS (christian)

Other flavors are: Indian, Precolombian, Muslim.
In version 2.1 every civ starts with a flavor-specific, non-tradable tech. Moreover, another tech like this is Ancient Migration. This is given only to civs from the "Old World" (europe, asia, africa) and is required for monotheism>theology but also for wheel>horse raiding. These two are tradabel, so precolombian civs haven't horses until they get in contact with old-world civs.
New units:
Katyusha
Merkava4
Indian Infantry
Ku****e Archer
Raider
Jannissary
Muslim Fanatic
Thai Warrior

Lachlan Mar 18, 2004, 04:58 PM Error in 2.1 biq
Spartakus Mar 23, 2004, 06:02 AM Sorry there was a mismatch in the file between BLDG and Splash.
Lachlan Mar 23, 2004, 07:08 AM You will release new version when ?
Bombur Mar 24, 2004, 04:30 AM Other flavors are: Indian, Precolombian, Muslim.

-Brilliant idea. How to do this? Do you simply mark the technology as "no era" and tradable? But in the TAM Modpack, specific civ technologies are also marked like that and still cannot be traded. Non era technologies can be traded?
Supa Mar 24, 2004, 04:34 AM How do you set a Non-Era tech to be a prerequesite to any Era tech ? o_O
Spartakus Mar 31, 2004, 01:41 AM simple: when you modifiy a tech or create a new one you can choose the required techs. Simply choose one of your non-era tech as a required one.

As this is a muslim wonder, shouldn't it have the Arabic name (which would be Al Aqsa Mosque [spelling?]) if I remember it correctly....
