Cheetah Mar 05, 2004, 02:19 AM Welcome into office Zarn. :)
Now I just hope this game could start...
Ankka Mar 05, 2004, 05:29 AM You said it, Cheetah. Luckily it is almost time... I hope.
Zarn Mar 09, 2004, 10:53 PM I see we have no takers on the positions. Just remember that a current TA or TS officer could remain in office, while we do know other civs.

Join the Foreign Council and release your inner feelings. Remember, Tuskens killed your mom. Come, join me and together we will get our vengeance against those who oppose us.

akots Mar 09, 2004, 11:11 PM I might be willing to try, but you have to explain what to do and how in great detail. I'm reading the posts but still don't understand many things.
Zarn Mar 11, 2004, 12:45 AM Akots, do you want me to explain everything in the game or the role of this council?
akots Mar 11, 2004, 01:57 AM Both focusing on the council. Thanks in advance. You don't have to describe everything, just reference the required reading and how it applies to what I would have to do. Well, and how do I do it.
RegentMan Mar 12, 2004, 12:57 PM I'd like to apply for a position. Although please tell me what each one does.
Zarn Mar 12, 2004, 01:09 PM The jobs of the offcers is support for the ambassadors and the consul. Their jobs are more behind the scenes, even though the deputy can talk to other civs. I will be arranging and engaging in chats as well as the ambassadors. Also, I will work with the officers to form plans to present to other civs as well as our own civ.
The TA Officer is responible for helping the FA Council plan out treaties and alliances with other civilizations. The TA Officer is a defacto ambassador, so the TA Officer can NOT be a regular ambassador. The TA Officer IS the deputy of the Foreign Affairs Council. The TA Officer is responsible for recording any political treaties for all CFCers to see.
The TS Officer is the person that works out the math for trade and support (forming proposals and helping modify them), and then has an ambassador present it (if citizens approve). The TS officer records all current trades and forms of support for all people here to see. The TS Officer is NOT a defacto ambassador.
The TS Officer is more than likely to become an ambassador than another citizen through expereience and the fact that it keeps the FA Council smaller.
RegentMan Mar 12, 2004, 01:58 PM I'd like to apply for the Officer of Treaties and Alliances.
Zarn Mar 12, 2004, 02:52 PM Article D
6. Each Consul shall APPOINT one Deputy.
7. The Consuls may delegate their powers as they see fit by
creating and appointing citizens to Offices.
Article N
6. ALL APPOINTMENTS must be approved by a citizen poll lasting 48
hours. A simple majority is needed for ratification.
a. The newly appointed official may act as the official of his
office, from the time of his appointment and until the poll closes.
I appoint you to be the Officer of Treaties and Alliances and Deputy of the Foreign Council. Apparently, you can act like a TA officer, but I will have to poll you. :crazyeye:
You may refer to yourself as officer or deputy. It doesn't matter.
edit: This law should not affect RegentMan, but I am curious.
Cheetah Mar 12, 2004, 03:59 PM Hm. You just said he is the deputy, so I guess the law does affect his appointment...
I'll have a closer look at it tomorrow.
RegentMan Mar 12, 2004, 04:43 PM There needs to be a poll? Jeez the Democratic system takes so long!!! ;)
akots Mar 12, 2004, 11:40 PM Thanks for the explanation. I'd like to try TS Office then. There is little to screw up apparently in the beginning and still in the process it might be possible to get better understanding of what is going on. If this is possible, please, explain the procedure of the appointment, ways of communication required by the duties with whoever has to be communicated with, ways of getting the information required for the duties and ways of presenting the outcome of the work to the FA Consul, his Deputy, ambassadors, and other officers.
Zarn Mar 13, 2004, 01:07 AM I wouldn't worry about it right now. I will give you the information needed through this thread. As for giving us your offers, you can just post it here.
