My Very first game, I suprising completed; via; I lost.
Heres a sad tale of deception, violation, and mutilation. Rated PG-13 for mild prfanity and some sexual situations.
I selected the Iroquois civ and started the game on a random standard map (used all default settings). To my disapointment, I started on a small Island out in the middle of a sea. Cursing my luck I decided to continue. I built as many towns as I could on my island (about 4-5). What was even worse is that half of my island was tundra, so prgression was very slow.
My first priority was to get off the rock ASAP. Unfortunetly my Gullies would always crash and burn if I left to calm waters of the costal shores. For my solution I had my most productive costal village produce a great light house. After expanding my exploration I discovered a inhabited island of Jungle. I placed down a few settlers and started cranking out workers to clear out that diseased wasteland. Got about 2 or 3 unstable villages down.
As I worked on the improvments, I sent my boat out even further and encountered British territory. At the same time some British and American fleets scooted to my home island. Being the peacful type of natives I gave into some of their demands. It wasnt enough to please the Americans though, for the wanted my land. I declined. I had little land to spare as for I saw other factions hand near 20 settlments. The Americans as so with their british ally came forth in one giant wave. I called upon military support, but noticed that both enemy factions where indeed in the middle ages. Yes.... It was Knights in amor vs. Indians in loin clothes. My entire homeland was destroyed/captured in 25 rounds.
My people are now forced to mingle with the white man and thier diseases! This is sacralidge!!!
At any rate, that was my first game. I may have played poorly (hey This is my first Coiv game, so give me a break!) but least I had the sweets to suffer a real defeat. I even killed 3 enemy units before I went down! :crazyeyes
