Hey all,

I've got Cic3:Gold and my buddy has Civ 3 and PTW. We've started a play by e-mail game, I played the first round, he played his round, but when it comes back to me the save is corrupt.

We have tried this several times, and nothing seems to help.

He is updated to 1.27f, but for some reason it still says 1.00 on his main menu page. His Civ 3 is 1.29f and says so on the main page.

Any ideas?

If he has updated his PTW to 1.27f, it will *say* 1.27f on the main page. If it says 1.00, he has not successfully updated it.

Can you think of any reason why the update wouldn't be working? He has tried it several times (though I'm not sure if he's doing it correctly, we are in different cities). I assume the patch automatically installs to the correct directory.

Maybe he has tried to install a european patch for a US version or similar?

And what version are you playing? 1.27f is NOT backwards compatable with earlier patches. What error message do you get?
