I just got civ3 today and it installed fine, but when I try to run it it tells me the cd cannot be found. I'm not sure what's going on. It's happened with other games, but only after I've upgraded to winxp, so I'm thinking that might be the problem. Any suggestions?

I got that error in windows 2000. So it might be related because WinXP is based on 2000.

I got that error when I turned on compatibility mode for windows 95. On the shortcut for CIV III open up the properties. Try finding the compatability mode, and turn it off. See if that works, if not, heck I don't know what the problem is then.

I am running Windows XP Professional beta build 2526. The game runs great for me. I bet it has to do with your CD-ROM drive.
