Well, our mine is completed, but the worker had no movement left. The good news is that the added mine now gets us our Warrior 1 turn ahead of schedule. :D

We can start our Eastern exploration next turn!

Here's the latest:

is the next step to mine another square for when we grow in 4 turns?

we wont have that mine done in time for the growth. Are we moving to build the road first, building the road here, or moving to mine right now?

no but it would be ready at some point and we could use the extra shields. dont you reckon?

Lets road the current square then mine and road the square SE of the worker.

lets not, and then say we didn't. We are going dead north after this.

Peri, you raise a good point and there are two solutions to your dilemma. Keep in mind that since we are playing on Emperor, our city is due to riot when it reaches Size 2.

1. In anticipation of the uprising, we may be able to make one citizen a scientist. However, I have a feeling the remaining citizen would still be unhappy.

2. We can temporarily use the Forest to get the production you are looking for. We could then switch to the NW tile when the mine is complete.

Incidentally, getting the Warrior one turn earlier helps us in another way. It is now possible for the unit to make it to the mountain and back by the time the city grows, so that should cure our happiness problem.

Thoughts?

I agree. Lets send our worker to the mountain and have him come back to our city.

So if we need to delay growth atm why not put the mm worker on the forest to lengthen growth time until we have enough warriors for scout and garrison?

We can make a 2nd citizen a scientist. Our first citizen will remain content, and our unhappy dude will be making 3 beakers a turn, no rioting.

Serious though, 10 or 20% on the luxery slider will do the trick for happiness. I think we should have our warriors scouting, not keeping the peace.
